Gigantoonz takes the Reactoonz formula to an 8x8 grid and builds it around mega symbols, whose cluster values count toward both the payout and a Quantumeter that fires Disintegration, Metamorphosis, Radiation and Gargantoonz in a fixed order. Clusters need six symbols, the one-eyed aliens pay cents, there are no free spins or buys, and the rules give a 4,000x cap but no RTP.

Who it suits

Play this if…

  • You like giant symbols whose cluster values can make a modest cluster pay well
  • You want a meter whose four features always arrive in the same order
  • You enjoy the Reactoonz style on a larger 8x8 grid, with a 4,000x cap the game states itself

Skip this if…

  • You want free spins, a bonus buy or a gamble: the game has none of them
  • You dislike long runs of small wins: the one-eyed aliens pay 10 to 30 cents for six
  • You want progress that carries across spins: the Quantumeter works one round at a time

Gigantoonz: Full Review

Gigantoonz is Play'n GO's January 2022 addition to the Reactoonz series: an 8x8 grid where six or more touching aliens pay and cascade away, joined by mega symbols up to 7x7 with cluster values of up to 13. A four-level Quantumeter fires a fixed ladder of features that ends in giant Gargantoonz wilds. There are no free spins or buys, so we tested the Gigantoonz slot demo with 100 plain spins at $1.

What is Gigantoonz?

The grid floats in a purple nebula, with the win list on its left and, on its right, the logo above a sleeping spiked Gargantoon on a saucer, whose counter shows the charges toward the next level. Ten kinds of alien fill the 64 positions, five with two eyes and five with one.

A win needs six or more matching aliens touching horizontally or vertically. Each combination pays once, at its highest win, then the winners are removed, the rest fall, and the cascades run until no new cluster forms.

The pays climb in ten steps, from six symbols to 30 or more. At a $1 bet the red crowned toon pays $1 for six, $5 for eight and $1,250 for 30 or more; at that size the pink toon pays $400, the green spiky one $200, the orange horned one $100 and the blue $50. The one-eyed aliens pay 10 to 30 cents for six and $5 to $20 for 30 or more.

Five buttons, 0.60 to 1.60 around the default, plus a minus and a plus set the stake. On the server, 20 coins a spin at coin values from 0.01 to 5.00 give $0.20 to $100, though the help text sets no limits itself. There is no gamble, buy, ante or free spins round.

Gigantoonz base spin 100 at a $1 bet, settled with no win: an 8x8 alien grid with four mega symbols marked x3, x3, x5 and x6Base spin 100 of 100 at $1, settled with no win: four mega symbols valued x3, x3, x5 and x6, and the Quantumeter at 0/25. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Gigantoonz bonus features

Mega symbols and cluster values

Mega symbols land in six sizes, from 2x2 up to 7x7, each marked with a random cluster value of up to 13. In a win a mega symbol counts as one symbol toward the six needed, but its cluster value is used to work out what the cluster pays.

Each winning mega symbol leaves a wild on the grid. A mega symbol with no room to drop fills its space with 1x1 versions of itself instead, and those carry no cluster value.

Quantum Wilds

On any round that brings no win, 5 to 10 Quantum Wilds can be added at random. They, like every wild in the game, substitute for all symbols. The bigger Gargantoon wilds come only from the Quantumeter.

The Quantumeter

Each winning symbol adds one charge to the Quantumeter, and a winning mega symbol adds its cluster value, so mega wins fill it fast. It holds up to 100 charges over four levels: 25 for Disintegration, 50 for Metamorphosis, 75 for Radiation and 100 for Gargantoonz. When the cascades stop, the next feature in line fires; once all have played, the meter switches off for the round.

  • Disintegration: removes every instance of four random symbols
  • Metamorphosis: turns every instance of one symbol into a different symbol, mega symbols included
  • Radiation: adds 0 to 4 mega symbols and 2 to 5 Quantum Wilds at random

Gargantoonz

The top level plays out in two steps after the wins end. First every mega symbol becomes a mega Gargantoon wild, with at least three appearing however many mega symbols there are, plus 2 to 4 single Gargantoonz. The mega Gargantoonz stay put while wins are removed around them; then they break down into 1x1 Gargantoonz, which leave with wins as normal.

RTP, volatility and max win

The paytable states the cap: up to 4,000x the normal bet, $4,000 at $1. The help text and the seven paytable pages give no RTP, and neither does the official page. Review sites list 96.25% as the top RTP version, with versions as low as 84.25%, and rate the game high volatility; the demo does not show which version it runs.

Played on Play'n GO's official practice demo in one session, from a 25,000.00 balance, with no reload. The demo shows credits without a currency label; we count one credit as one dollar. Every spin was at 1.00 (20 coins at 0.05 on the server), started one at a time by a script clicking the spin button, without Auto Play. Gigantoonz has no free spins, bonus buy, ante, paid mode or gamble. By the server log the Quantumeter reached Disintegration in 5 rounds, Metamorphosis in 2 and Radiation in 1 (spin 74); random Quantum Wilds came on 4 rounds. The effects were not captured, and Gargantoonz never came. The rules state no RTP, so no version is shown. Totals from the server log: $100.00 staked, $30.70 returned, ending at 24,930.70 to the cent. A sample of 100 spins says nothing reliable about the RTP or the volatility.

Our session ran on Play'n GO's official practice demo, with no sign-in and no reload. The demo shows unlabelled credits, and we read each credit as $1. It opened at 25,000.00 on the 1.00 bet, 20 coins at 0.05 on the server, and a script pressed the spin button for each spin in turn, without Auto Play.

The log closes to the cent: $100.00 staked, $30.70 returned and 24,930.70 at the end, on the server and on screen. Wins came on 41 spins, but 32 of them paid under $1, $13.40 between them. The balance never rose above its 25,000.00 start, and the longest run without a win was 6 spins, 43 to 48.

Mega symbols were everywhere: every board we captured carried at least one, at sizes up to 4x4 and values from x3 to x7. On spin 64 a 2x2 green spiky mega at x7 and a 2x2 blue at x5 sat on the grid through a $1.80 round.

Gigantoonz spin 64 at a $1 bet, settled: a 2x2 green spiky mega symbol at x7 and a 2x2 blue mega at x5, win list and WIN 1.80Spin 64 of 100 at $1, settled: a 2x2 green spiky mega symbol at x7 and a 2x2 blue one at x5, $1.80 for the round. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

By the server log, the Quantumeter passed 25 charges in five rounds, spins 64, 68, 74, 79 and 98; Metamorphosis followed twice and Radiation once. Those five rounds paid $12.40 of the session's $30.70. The log also shows random Quantum Wilds on spins 41, 49, 52 and 66, each of which then paid under $1. We did not capture the effects themselves.

Gigantoonz spin 68 at a $1 bet, settled: a 2x2 orange mega symbol at x6 and a glowing wild among the aliens, WIN 2.80Spin 68 of 100 at $1, settled: a 2x2 orange mega symbol at x6 and a wild on the grid, five clusters for $2.80 in all. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

The best round was spin 74, $3.60, 3.6x the bet, and the only one to reach Radiation. It finished with a 4x4 purple mega at x4, a 3x3 green at x3 and three Quantum Wilds on the board. That is a single result: without it the other 99 spins returned $27.10 from 40 wins, the best of them $2.80 on spins 68 and 98.

Gigantoonz spin 74 at a $1 bet, settled: a 4x4 purple mega at x4, a 3x3 green mega at x3 and three Quantum Wilds, WIN 3.60Spin 74 of 100 at $1, settled: a 4x4 purple mega at x4, a 3x3 green mega at x3 and three Quantum Wilds, $3.60 in all. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Gargantoonz never came, so we never saw a Gargantoon wild, and no round got near 4x the bet. A hundred spins at this pace cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.

Is Gigantoonz worth trying?

Gigantoonz moves the Reactoonz idea onto a bigger board and lets mega symbols do the heavy lifting. Their cluster values count toward both the payout and the Quantumeter, so one large mega in a win can lift the meter a level that small aliens would take far longer to earn. The ladder is fixed, too: you always know what the next level brings.

The catch is the size of the grid. Clusters need six symbols, the one-eyed aliens that fill most of them pay 10 to 30 cents for six, and there are no free spins or buys to change the pace. Every settled board we captured had the meter back at 0/25, and our session showed the lean side: many small wins and a slow slide.

Against Reactoonz, by both games' rules, the board grows from 7x7 to 8x8 and clusters from five symbols to six. The original adds a random Quantum feature for every 25 winning symbols and its 3x3 Gargantoon on the fifth charge, and states no cap; here the four levels come in a set order, mega symbols charge the meter by their values, and the paytable states 4,000x.

Reactoonz 2 charges its Quantumeter only through Electric Wilds and states a 5,083x cap. Our three sessions ran close on the same $100: $30.70 here, $33.60 on Reactoonz and $40.30 on Reactoonz 2, single sessions all three.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play the Gigantoonz demo for free?+

Yes. This page loads Play'n GO's practice version with no account or download. It starts at 25,000 credits without a currency sign, with the 1.00 bet picked among buttons from 0.60 to 1.60 and the Quantumeter waiting at 0/25. Each round settles itself when its cascades end, so there is no collect or gamble step.

What do the Quantumeter levels do in Gigantoonz?+

Winning symbols charge it, mega symbols by their cluster value. At 25 charges Disintegration removes all of four random symbols, at 50 Metamorphosis turns all of one symbol into another, at 75 Radiation adds up to four mega symbols and 2 to 5 Quantum Wilds, and at 100 Gargantoonz turns mega symbols into giant wilds. Our server log shows Radiation once in 100 spins.

How is Gigantoonz different from Reactoonz?+

It is a later game in the same series, on an 8x8 grid instead of 7x7 and with clusters of six rather than five. Mega symbols up to 7x7 carry cluster values, the Quantumeter's features arrive in a fixed order instead of at random, and the paytable states a 4,000x cap, which Reactoonz's own rules do not.

How do mega symbols work in Gigantoonz?+

They land as blocks from 2x2 to 7x7 with a random cluster value of up to 13. In a win a mega symbol counts as one symbol, but its value sets the payout and charges the Quantumeter, and it leaves a wild behind. Our best round, $3.60 on spin 74, ended with a 4x4 purple mega at x4 on the board.

What are the RTP and max win of Gigantoonz?+

The paytable states up to 4,000x the normal bet, $4,000 at $1. No RTP appears in the help text, the paytable or on Play'n GO's page; review sites list 96.25% as the top of five versions, down to 84.25%. The practice demo does not show its version, so look in the casino's game information.
