Reactoonz 2 rebuilds the original's engine as a chain: fluctuating wins make Electric Wilds, the symbols they clear charge a four-level Quantumeter, and its tiers release Energoon wilds, the 3x3 Gargantoon and finally a x2, with a Wild Pair Explosion to finish. It all resets every round, there are no free spins or buys, the top pays are lower than the original's, and the RTP is not in the game's rules.

Who it suits

Play this if…

  • You like chain reactions in which one kind of wild charges the meter that releases the next, bigger kind
  • You want every feature to play out inside the paid spin, with no free spins to wait for
  • You prefer a cap the game states itself: 5,083x the bet

Skip this if…

  • You want free spins, a bonus buy or a gamble: there is none of them
  • You want features that build over several spins: both meters reset every round
  • You find layered rules hard to follow: two meters, four wild types and a fixed order to learn

Reactoonz 2: Full Review

Reactoonz 2 is Play'n GO's October 2020 sequel to its alien cluster hit, again on a 7x7 grid where five or more touching aliens pay and cascade away. This time the features run on electricity: winning fluctuating aliens make Electric Wilds and fill a Fluctometer, and every symbol those wilds clear charges a four-level Quantumeter that releases Energoon and Gargantoon wilds. The rules cap wins at 5,083x. Our test of the Reactoonz 2 slot demo ran to 100 logged spins at $1.

What is Reactoonz 2?

The grid hangs in a purple nebula. On its left sit the logo and the round's win list; on its right, a ring showing this round's fluctuating alien and, below it, the Quantumeter with a dormant Gargantoon and a small Energoon behind a charge counter.

Clusters work as before. Five or more identical aliens joined horizontally or vertically form a win, each cluster pays once for its size, and the winners are cleared so the column above can drop and fresh aliens fall in. Cascades continue until the grid shows no win.

The same eight aliens return. At a $1 bet the pink two-eyed one pays $1 for five, $20 for 10 or 11 and $500 for 15 or more, ahead of the green at $200, the orange at $100 and the blue at $60 for that top size. The four one-eyed aliens start at 10 or 15 cents for five and reach $3 or $10 for 15 or more.

You choose the stake from five preset buttons, stepped with minus and plus. The server's coin list, 20 coins at 0.01 to 5.00, gives $0.20 to $100 a spin, though the help text quotes no limits. No gamble is offered: the game pays every round by itself.

Reactoonz 2 base spin 63 at a $1 bet, settled: a 7x7 alien grid with an Electric Wild on the left edge, the win list and WIN 10.95Base spin 63 of 100 at $1, settled after its cascades: an Electric Wild on the left edge and $10.95 for the round. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Reactoonz 2 bonus features

The Fluctometer and Electric Wilds

Each round one type of one-eyed alien is picked to fluctuate. When fluctuating aliens win, one Electric Wild appears on one of the spots they leave behind. The Fluctometer also collects every fluctuating alien removed, holds up to 11, and once full adds 1, 2 or 3 Electric Wilds at random after the cascades finish. It refills within the round until a Gargantoon is released, which switches it off.

Uncharged wilds

Dim blue uncharged wilds can fall in on any cascade. They never form wins themselves, but a winning cluster next to one, above, below or beside it, or a Wild Pair Explosion turns it into an Electric Wild. Electric, Energoon and Gargantoon wilds all substitute for every alien.

The Quantumeter

The Quantumeter only counts symbols an Electric Wild removes, whether through a win or a Wild Pair Explosion. It has four levels, at 55, 85, 110 and 135 charges, and resets at the start of every round, so nothing is banked between spins.

Below level 3 it pays out in Energoon wilds. Level 2 releases one 2x2 Energoon wild at a cost of 30 charges, and level 1 releases four single Energoon wilds for 55. The meter keeps charging after an Energoon appears.

The Gargantoon and the x2

At level 3, 110 charges, the Quantumeter releases the 3x3 Gargantoon wild instead. After it triggers a cascade it becomes two 2x2 Gargantoon wilds, and after the next, nine single ones; releasing it switches off both meters. At level 4, 135 charges, every win that includes Gargantoon wilds is doubled, with only one x2 per cluster.

Wild Pair Explosion

When the cascades and both meters are done and two or more Electric Wilds are still on the grid, two of them pair up, adjacent ones first. An adjacent pair clears every symbol that is not a wild. A pair that is not touching destroys the aliens between them; the paytable page adds the ones around them too. Cleared symbols pay nothing, but they charge the Quantumeter.

The order is fixed after the cascades: the Fluctometer first, then the Quantumeter, then the Wild Pair Explosion.

RTP, volatility and max win

The paytable states the cap: up to 5,083x your normal bet, $5,083 at $1. It gives no RTP, and neither does the help text or the official page. Review sites agree on 96.20% as the top version, and the practice demo does not show which version it runs. They rate the game high volatility; the game has no label of its own.

Played on Play'n GO's official practice demo in one session, from a 25,000.00 balance. The demo shows credits without a currency label; we count one credit as one dollar. Every spin was at 1.00 (20 coins at 0.05 on the server); spin 1 by mouse, spins 2 to 100 started one at a time by a script clicking the spin button, without Auto Play. Reactoonz 2 has no free spins, bonus buy, ante, paid mode or gamble, and every round collects by itself. Spin 63's $10.95 is a single result; the other 99 spins returned $29.35. Which features fired was not recorded. The rules state no RTP, so no version is shown. Totals from the server log: $100.00 staked, $40.30 returned, ending at 24,940.30 to the cent. A sample of 100 spins says nothing reliable about the RTP or the volatility.

We played the official practice demo in one session without reloading it. The balance reads in credits with no currency symbol, which we count as dollars, one for one. It started at 25,000.00 with the 1.00 button lit. After a first click, a script pressed the spin button for spins 2 to 100, one at a time and without Auto Play.

By the game server's log we staked $100.00 and got $40.30 back, finishing at 24,940.30, the same figure the screen showed. The balance peaked after spin 2 at 24,999.70 and closed the session at its lowest.

Small wins were the rule. Of 47 paying spins, 36 returned less than $1, $9.70 in all, and only 11 reached the stake. The longest dry spell was 9 spins, 64 to 72, straight after the best round.

That round was spin 63, a chain of cascades worth $10.95, 10.95x the bet. Its win list included eight green two-eyed aliens for $3.00, seven pink for $3.00 and eight orange for $2.00, and an Electric Wild sat on the left edge when it settled.

The next best were $4.45 on spin 96 and $2.65 on spin 37. Spin 63 is a single result: the other 99 spins returned $29.35, and without spin 96 as well, 98 spins made $24.90 from 45 wins.

The log does not show which features fired in which round, so we make no claim about Energoon wilds, the Gargantoon or a Wild Pair Explosion. A sample of 100 spins also cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.

Is Reactoonz 2 worth trying?

The sequel is a game of steps. Fluctuating wins make Electric Wilds, the wilds clear symbols, the clearing charges the Quantumeter, and its levels hand out bigger wilds, with the Wild Pair Explosion as a last sweep. Each round starts the chain from nothing, so all of it has to happen inside one paid spin.

Against the Reactoonz original, by both games' rules, the grid, the cluster rule, the eight aliens and the one-eyed pays are the same. What changes is the engine. The original charges its meter with every winning symbol and draws random Quantum features such as Implosion, with doubled Giantoonz on the side; the sequel charges only through Electric Wilds and pays out in fixed tiers of wilds.

The top pays dropped, $500 rather than $750 for 15 pink aliens, but this game states its 5,083x cap in its own rules, where the original states none.

Our two sessions ran alike: $40.30 back here against $33.60 there, with best rounds of $10.95 and $6.35. Those are single results, not a measure of either game.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play the Reactoonz 2 demo for free?+

Yes, Play'n GO's practice version runs on this page without an account. It gives you 25,000 credits with no currency sign and opens on the 1.00 bet button. The Fluctometer ring on the right shows the round's fluctuating one-eyed alien, which tells you where the Electric Wilds will come from.

How does the Quantumeter work in Reactoonz 2?+

It charges only from symbols that Electric Wilds remove, through wins or a Wild Pair Explosion. Level 1, at 55 charges, releases four single Energoon wilds; level 2, at 85, one 2x2 Energoon wild; level 3, at 110, the 3x3 Gargantoon; and level 4, at 135, doubles wins that include Gargantoon wilds. It starts again from zero every round.

What changed from Reactoonz to Reactoonz 2?+

By both games' rules the 7x7 grid, the five-or-more cluster rule and the one-eyed pays stayed. The meter changed: the original charges from every winning symbol and draws random Quantum features, while the sequel charges through Electric Wilds and pays in tiers of wilds. Top pays fell, 15 pink aliens now $500 instead of $750, and the sequel states a 5,083x cap.

What is a Wild Pair Explosion in Reactoonz 2?+

The last step of a round. If two or more Electric Wilds are left after the cascades and both meters, two are chosen, touching ones first. A touching pair removes every non-wild symbol; a separated pair destroys the aliens between them, and the paytable page includes their neighbours. Removed symbols pay nothing but feed the Quantumeter.

What are the RTP and max win of Reactoonz 2?+

The maximum is in the game's own paytable: 5,083x the bet, so $5,083 at $1. The RTP is not: the help text, the ten paytable pages and Play'n GO's game page give none. Review sites agree on 96.20% as the top version, and the practice demo does not show which version it uses.
