Wild Frames builds one big moment out of each cascade chain: wilds leave frames that collect multipliers, the Charge Meter fires Transform, Wildcard and Shatter on the way to 80, and a full meter turns every frame into a multiplied wild, toward a 7,000x cap. There are no free spins, the suits pay cents, and the game states no RTP.

Wild Frames: Full Review

The Wild Frames slot is Play'n GO's December 2019 take on classic casino symbols: a 7x7 cluster grid of 7s, diamonds, stars, bells and card suits where five or more touching symbols win and cascade away. Every wild leaves a sticky frame behind, a Charge Meter fires a feature at 20, 40 and 60 winning symbols, and at 80 the frames all turn wild with their multipliers, toward a 7,000x cap. Our Wild Frames slot demo test ran 100 spins at $1.

What is the Wild Frames slot?

The grid sits on a purple field of angled tiles, with a scrolling list of clusters on the left and a round gold Charge Meter under the Wild Frames logo on the right. The symbols are the old fruit-machine set made glossy: red 7s, white diamonds, gold stars and bronze bells on coloured tiles, and hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs as the low symbols.

Wins need five or more matching symbols touching across or down. The winners are removed, new symbols fall in, and the cascades go on until no new cluster forms. The wild substitutes for every symbol, and a spin that wins nothing may get 4 to 6 wilds added at random.

The paytable shows its pays at the current bet, from clusters of five up to 30 or more. At $1, red 7s pay $3 for five and $500 for 30 or more. Diamonds run from $1.50 to $250, stars from $1 to $150 and bells from 50 cents to $75.

The suits pay far less: hearts and red diamonds 15 cents for five up to $25, spades and clubs 10 cents up to $15. Five bet buttons offer 0.60 to 1.60 around the default; the server lists 19 coin values from 0.01 to 5.00 at 20 coins a spin, so stakes run from $0.20 to $100. There is no gamble.

Wild Frames bonus features

Frames

Every wild that lands leaves a frame on its grid position, and the frame stays there for the rest of the round. A wild that lands on a position already framed upgrades it with a win multiplier. All frames stay inactive, multipliers included, until the Charge Meter is full.

A busy chain can therefore plant a lot of frames and multipliers that pay nothing at first and only count once the meter reaches 80, which is why the long cascades matter so much in this game.

The Charge Meter

Each winning symbol adds one charge to the meter. Three charge features fire on the way up. At 20, Transform turns every non-suit symbol into one non-suit type; at 40, Wildcard adds 3 to 6 wilds; at 60, Shatter removes all suit symbols from the grid.

Each step feeds the next: a Transform builds bigger clusters, more wilds leave more frames, and a Shatter clears the suits for new symbols to drop in. In our session the meter was back at zero at the start of later spins, so the whole charge came from a single cascade chain.

The Wild Frames feature

At 80 charges the meter is full and the feature starts. Every frame on the grid becomes active, and the symbol under it turns into a wild, carrying any multiplier that frame had collected. If a winning cluster holds several multipliers, only the highest one counts.

The meter can also be overcharged. Every 10 charges past 80 add two more frames at random positions before the feature plays out.

RTP, volatility and max win

The game keeps its RTP out of the help text and the paytable, and the official page gives none either. Review sites list 96.5% and rate the volatility high or very high; the practice demo does not show which RTP version it runs.

The paytable states the cap: "Win up to 7000x your bet!", $7,000 at $1. There are no free spins, no bonus buy, no ante and no gamble.

Played on Play'n GO's official practice demo in one session, from a 25,000.00 balance, with no errors. The demo shows credits without a currency label; we count one credit as one dollar. Every spin was at 1.00, 20 coins of 0.05; spins started one at a time by a script clicking the spin button, without Auto Play. Wild Frames has no free spins, bonus buy, ante, paid mode or gamble, and the game collects every win itself. The Wild Frames feature triggered once, inside spin 77's cascade chain, which paid $126.20, a single result; Wildcard and Shatter were not singled out on screen and are described from the rules. The rules state no RTP, so no version is shown. Totals from the server log: $100.00 staked, $156.30 returned, ending at 25,056.30 to the cent. A sample of 100 spins says nothing reliable about the RTP or the volatility.

Credits in the practice demo carry no currency label, and we read each as a dollar. The demo opened on 25,000.00 with the 1.00 button lit, 20 coins of 0.05, and all 100 spins ran at $1 in one session. A script pressed spin each time, without Auto Play, and the demo raised no error.

The server log ends exactly where the screen did: $100.00 staked, $156.30 returned, 25,056.30. Of 41 winning spins, 32 paid under $1, ten of them 10 cents. The longest losing run was 6 spins, 31 to 36. The meter climbed partway on some rounds, once to 13 of 20, and then started again from zero.

After 75 spins the balance stood at its low, 24,947.80, and spin 76 paid $5.90. Spin 77 then turned into one long cascade chain. We saw the meter at 44 of 60 after a Transform had filled the grid with stars, and later at 81 of 80, with frames spread over the board.

The Wild Frames feature started in the same round. The framed positions turned into wilds, and clusters of 7s, stars, bells and diamonds kept paying while the win counter ran.

FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.

The round settled at $126.20, 126.2x the bet, under a SUPER BIG WIN banner. Our capture caught the banner as it faded, with the final $126.20 in the status bar, and the balance rose to 25,077.90, its high for the session.

That round is a single result. The other 99 spins returned $30.10, the best $5.90 on spin 76 and $5.00 on spin 6, and the 23 spins after spin 77 brought back $1.40. One feature in 100 spins says nothing reliable about the RTP or the volatility.

Is the Wild Frames slot worth trying?

The build-up is what makes it work. Wilds plant frames, frames collect multipliers, and the meter's three steps each push the chain toward 80, so a long cascade can snowball into a full board of multiplied wilds. Overcharging adds frames on top.

The weakness is that everything rests on one chain. Frames do nothing until the meter fills, the suits pay cents, and there are no free spins to fall back on.

By both games' rules, Gargantoonz works on the same frame: a 7x7 grid, clusters of five, a charger that fires its features in stages and a 7,000x cap. Its charger runs three experiments with special wilds toward multiplied Gargantoon wilds, where Wild Frames stores its multipliers in frames for one release at 80.

Reactoonz charges a Quantum Leap meter on the same grid size and lines up random features for its giant wild. Our sessions returned $24.60 in Gargantoonz, $33.60 in Reactoonz and $156.30 here, almost all of it from spin 77, single sessions that show the spread, not a ranking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play the Wild Frames slot demo for free?+

Yes. This page loads Play'n GO's practice version with no account. It holds 25,000 credits with no currency sign and opens with the 1.00 button lit, among 0.60, 0.80, 1.20 and 1.60. A long cascade chain can take well over a minute to play out and count up; ours on spin 77 did.

What do the frames and multipliers do in Wild Frames?+

Each wild leaves a frame where it lands, and a wild landing on a framed spot adds a win multiplier to it. The frames do nothing until the Charge Meter reaches 80; then every frame turns its symbol into a wild with its multiplier, and a winning cluster uses only its highest one. Every 10 charges past 80 add two frames.

How does the Charge Meter work in Wild Frames?+

Every winning symbol adds one charge. At 20 charges Transform turns all non-suit symbols into one type, at 40 Wildcard adds 3 to 6 wilds, and at 60 Shatter removes every suit symbol. At 80 the Wild Frames feature starts. In our test the meter went from 44 to 81 during one chain on spin 77.

Does Wild Frames have free spins?+

No. The game has no free spins round and no bonus buy. Its only bonus is the Wild Frames feature at 80 charges, charged by winning symbols, together with the three charge features on the way there. Spins that win nothing may still get 4 to 6 random wilds, which leave frames when they land.

What are the RTP and max win of Wild Frames?+

The paytable caps wins at 7,000x the bet, $7,000 at $1. The game states no RTP in its help or paytable, and Play'n GO's page gives none; review sites list 96.5% and rate it high volatility. The demo does not show which RTP version it runs, so check the game information at your casino.
