Our verdict
Black Mamba turns the 5x5 cascade grid into a rock show: each drop raises the multiplier, band members' Solos reshape dead grids, a charged meter starts a Concert of all four, and clearing the grid opens 8 free spins that reset to the carried multiplier every spin, with no cap on it. The base game pays small, there is no buy, and the rules give a 5,000x cap but no RTP.
Who it suits
Play this if…
- You like cascades where a cleared grid carries the multiplier into free spins
- You want features that fire in the base game too: Solos on dead spins and a Concert of all four
- You enjoy a music theme built on a real band
Skip this if…
- You want a free spins choice: here every round starts with 8 spins and the band member on stage
- You want a richer base game: three of a band member or an instrument pays 30 cents at most
- You need the RTP stated in the game: its rules give the 5,000x cap and nothing more

Black Mamba: Full Review
The Black Mamba slot is Play'n GO's November 2019 game built around the Italian hard rock band of that name: a 5x5 stage where three or more matching symbols in a row or column pay, drop away and raise a multiplier with each drop. Band members play Solos that reshape the grid, a charged meter starts a Concert of all four, and clearing the whole grid opens free spins that keep the multiplier. Our 100 spins at $1 on the Black Mamba demo hit those free spins twice.

What is the Black Mamba slot?
The grid stands on a dark stage under pink lights. On the left a speaker shows the multiplier above the win list and the round charge meter; on the right the Black Mamba logo glows over the band member whose Solo is next.
Three or more matching symbols touching in a straight line, across or down, pay, and one symbol can count in several wins. The winners leave, the rest fall, and each new drop raises the win multiplier by one.
When a three-symbol win of band members is removed, a Martina symbol appears in its middle spot; any other three-symbol win leaves a wild there instead. When only wilds remain, they are removed too.
At a $1 bet Martina, marked x2 on the paytable, pays $50 for five and $2 for three, the wild $25 and $1. Alexandra, Cecilia and Fred pay $5 for five each, any mix of them $3. The cymbal and plectrum pay $1.50 for five, the headphones and microphones $1, and three of the smallest pay 10 cents.
The stake comes from five quick buttons, 0.60 to 4.00 around the default, with a minus and a plus beside them. At 20 coins a spin the server's coin values run from $0.20 to $100; the help text names no limits. There is no gamble, buy or ante.
Base spin 100 of 100 at $1, settled with no win: the 5x5 stage of band members and instruments, x1, Alexandra on the right. FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.
Black Mamba bonus features
Solos
On a base-game spin with no win, the band member shown on the right can play a Solo:
- Alexandra: destroys two sets of symbols
- Cecilia: adds one or two wilds
- Fred: transforms one set of symbols into another symbol
- Martina: destroys the bottom row, wilds apart, and puts a Martina symbol in place of a band member
Martina's Solo plays only in the Concert and in free spins.
The Solo page of the paytable in our demo session: Alexandra, Cecilia, Fred and Martina and what each Solo does, with the 5000x cap. FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.
The Concert
Winning Alexandra, Cecilia and Fred symbols charge a six-section meter; wilds do not count. Four charges start the Concert and six overcharge it, which carries the round's multiplier into it. Once a drop ends without a win, the band plays all four Solos in turn, Alexandra, Cecilia, Fred and then Martina, until each has played. It cannot be retriggered.
End of a base-game Concert on spin 24 of 100 at $1: Total Win 3.10 with all four band members, the multiplier at x3. FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.
Free spins for a cleared grid
Empty the whole grid and the free spins begin, 8 in our two rounds, with the active band member playing her or his Solo on every losing spin and Martina playing on every spin. The multiplier from the triggering spin carries over and resets to that value at the start of each free spin, with no upper limit.
Charging the meter during free spins adds spins: four to five charges give 2 more, an overcharge of six gives 4. A Concert can play inside the free spins, and clearing the grid there pays an instant 50x the bet. If free spins and a Concert trigger together, only the free spins play.
The free spins award after base spin 96 at $1: 8 free spins with Cecilia and Martina, the x7 multiplier carried over. FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.
RTP, volatility and max win
The paytable caps wins at 5,000x the bet, $5,000 at $1. The help text and six paytable pages give no RTP, and the official page lists none. The top RTP version on review sites is 96.50%, and they class the game as high volatility; which version the demo runs is not shown.

Played on Play'n GO's official practice demo in one session on 20 October, from a 25,000.00 balance, with no reload or error. The demo shows credits without a currency label; we count one credit as one dollar. Every spin was at 1.00 (20 coins at 0.05 on the server), started one at a time by a script clicking the spin button, without Auto Play; both free spins rounds were started with one click. Black Mamba has no bonus buy, ante, paid mode or gamble. Free spins came twice from a cleared grid: spin 2 ($48.90, x6 carried, extended to 10 spins with a Concert inside) and spin 96 ($53.05, x7 carried). Four base-game Concerts: spin 24 seen on screen, spins 55, 64 and 74 from the server log. Not seen: the 50x grid clear in free spins. The rules state no RTP, so no version is shown. Totals from the server log: $100.00 staked, $142.00 returned, ending at 25,042.00 to the cent. A sample of 100 spins says nothing reliable about the RTP or the volatility.
We played one practice session on 20 October without a reload or an error. The credits carry no currency sign, so we count each one as a dollar. Every spin cost 1.00, 20 coins of 0.05 on the server, and a script started them one at a time, without Auto Play; the free spins each began with a click.
The server log and the screen agree: $100.00 staked, $142.00 returned, 25,042.00 at the end. Forty-five spins paid, 30 of them less than $1, and the longest dry spell ran 9 spins, from 78 to 86.
The grid cleared on spin 2 already. The base cascades paid $14.15 and left the multiplier at x6, and the 8 free spins with Alexandra and Martina were stretched to 10 by the meter, with a Concert inside them. The round paid $48.90 in all.
The free spins from base spin 2 at $1: BIG WIN 48.90 at its final amount, after 10 spins with Alexandra and Martina. FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.
Spin 96 cleared it again: $10.55 in cascades, x7 carried, then 8 free spins with Cecilia and Martina. The result screen closed the round at $53.05, 53.05x the bet, the best of the session.
Free spin 8 of 8 after base spin 96 at $1: CONGRATS, Total Win 53.05 with Cecilia and Martina, the multiplier at x10. FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.
These are single results: without the two rounds, the other 98 spins returned $40.05, the best $6.50 on spin 74. That was one of four base-game Concerts; we saw the one on spin 24 pay $3.10, and the log shows the others on spins 55, 64 and 74 for $2.50 to $6.50.
We never saw the 50x grid clear in free spins, and the cap was far away. One hundred spins and two bonus rounds tell you nothing reliable about the RTP or the volatility.
Is Black Mamba worth trying?
Black Mamba is at its best inside one long spin. Every drop lifts the multiplier, three-symbol wins plant wilds or a Martina, the Solos break up dead grids, and a full clear takes that multiplier into free spins where it starts every spin at the same level.
The flip side is a thin base game. Three of a kind pays 10 to 30 cents for everything but the wild and Martina, our base-game Concerts paid $2.50 to $6.50, and the real money rests on emptying the grid. There is no buy to skip that step.
By both games' rules, Rise of Olympus runs on the same engine in Greek dress: the 5x5 grid, wilds left in the middle of three-symbol wins, a multiplier per drop and three characters who destroy, add wilds or transform. Its free spins let you choose 4, 5 or 8 spins, cap the multiplier at x20 and pay 100x for a clear.
Black Mamba fixes 8 spins, keeps the carried multiplier with no cap, adds Martina and the Concert, and pays 50x for a clear.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play the Black Mamba demo for free?+
Yes. This page runs Play'n GO's practice version with no account. It starts with 25,000 credits and no currency sign, on the 1.00 bet among buttons from 0.60 to 4.00, with Alexandra on stage beside the grid. Each round pays out by itself; free spins wait on an award screen until you press spin.
How does the Concert work in Black Mamba?+
Winning Alexandra, Cecilia and Fred symbols charge a six-section meter. Four charges start the Concert, and six overcharge it so the multiplier carries in. Once a drop ends without a win, all four band members play their Solos in turn. We saw four Concerts in 100 base spins, paying $2.50 to $6.50 each.
How do you trigger free spins in Black Mamba?+
Clear every symbol from the 5x5 grid in a paid spin. The free spins take that spin's multiplier with them and reset to it on each spin, the band member on stage solos on losing spins, Martina on every spin, and meter charges add 2 or 4 spins. We cleared the grid twice, on spins 2 and 96.
Who are Black Mamba in the slot?+
The game is built on the Italian hard rock band Black Mamba, and its four members appear as symbols and Solo characters: Alexandra, Cecilia, Fred and Martina. Martina's symbol is marked x2 on the paytable and pays $50 for five at a $1 bet, double the wild.
What are the RTP and max win of Black Mamba?+
The paytable states up to 5,000x the bet, $5,000 at $1, and a full grid clear in free spins pays 50x. No RTP appears in the help, the paytable or on Play'n GO's page; review sites agree on 96.50% as the top version. The demo does not show which version it runs, so check the casino's game information.
