Our verdict
Cosmic Clusters! is built on one good idea: coin clusters pay out and return as a single, bigger coin, so the free spins visibly build toward something. The base game is quiet and the 5,000x cap is modest for a 2026 Pragmatic release, but the three buy tiers genuinely change the feature, and the gold-only Epic round showed how far the snowball can run.
Who it suits
Play this if…
- You like watching a bonus build, with coins merging into bigger ones as the round goes on
- You want a medium-volatility cluster slot with a 96.45% top RTP
- You like choosing your bonus: the three buy tiers change which coins can land
Skip this if…
- You want frequent mid-size base game wins: most of our hits were under 2x
- You chase very high caps: 5,000x is modest for a 2026 Pragmatic Play release
- It would bother you to end a round with a big coin still on the grid, unpaid

Cosmic Clusters!: Full Review
Cosmic Clusters! is a Pragmatic Play space slot that swaps paylines for a 6x6 cluster grid and builds everything around one idea: money coins that pay out together and then come back as a single, bigger coin. It launched on 16 July 2026 with medium volatility, a 96.45% top RTP and a 5,000x cap. We played 200 spins of the Cosmic Clusters! demo at $1 and bought all three free spins tiers to see how far that coin snowball really goes.

What is the Cosmic Clusters! slot about?
An astronaut drifts beside the grid against a purple nebula, and the backdrop turns to a burning orange sunset once free spins start. The five gems (green, pink, blue, purple and red) are the low pays. An alien, a UFO, a satellite and a multicoloured crystal cluster make up the high pays.
Any group of five or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically pays. At a $1 bet, five crystal clusters pay $1 and a group of 14 or more pays $50, while the lowest gems run from $0.15 to $6. Winning symbols tumble away, and two extra things happen on every tumble: other copies of the winning symbol vanish too, with coins able to land in their place, and a wild drops onto a random position before new symbols fall. That keeps short chains going. A quarter of our base spins tumbled at least once.
Base game at $1: coins land often, five of them touching is the hard part
Cosmic Clusters! bonus features
Money coins
Bronze, silver and gold coins carry cash values, up to 1,000x the bet according to Pragmatic Play. Five or more coins in one cluster pay the sum of their values. Then comes the part that makes the game: once those coins explode, a single new coin worth the total just paid lands on an empty position. A cluster that pays 20x leaves behind a x20 coin, which can join the next cluster and come back bigger again.
Free spins
Three, four, five or six scatters award 12, 15, 18 or 21 free spins, and two scatters during the round add two more. Two rules change once the feature starts:
- Coins that are not part of a winning cluster drop to the bottom row and stay there until they join a win or the round ends.
- Symbols that vanish in a tumble without being part of the winning cluster turn into coins.
The result is a round you can read at a glance. The coins waiting along the bottom row are the prize, and every tumble decides whether they connect.
Our natural free spins: unused coins wait on the bottom row for a cluster
Bonus buys and ante bets
There are three buy tiers. Free Spins cost 100x the bet, Super Free Spins cost 300x and only let silver and gold coins land, and Epic Free Spins cost 1,000x with gold coins only. In the 96.45% version we played, the game's rules list the buys at 96.48%, 96.44% and 96.53% RTP. Two ante bets raise the stake to 1.5x or 2.5x for 2.5 or 5 times the natural free spins chance, at 96.54% and 96.47% RTP. If you are weighing a buy, our guide to bonus buy slots explains what the price really covers.

Played on the official demo with play money. 200 spins is a small sample: it shows how a session can feel, not the game's long-run RTP or volatility.
The base game was steady but small. 50 of our 200 spins paid something, which lines up with the 24.51% hit rate Pragmatic Play quotes, but only five spins reached 5x and the best plain spin paid $15. Coins land often in the base game. Getting five of them to touch is the hard part.
Free spins arrived naturally on spin 177: three scatters for 12 spins, $29.20 in total and the best result of the 200. We spent most of that round watching coins pile up along the bottom row, which is exactly where the feature's tension comes from.
The buys told the snowball story more clearly. The $100 round landed four scatters for 15 spins and paid $67.80, with a six-coin cluster worth $8 as its highlight. The $300 Super round sat on $21.80 after eleven spins, then its last spin tumbled into a twelve-coin cluster worth $80 and finished on $131.85. That $80 came straight back as a single x80 coin, still on the grid when the round ended.
Super Free Spins, last spin: twelve coins in one cluster for $80
The $1,000 Epic round, gold coins only, was the one that ran. It retriggered for 14 spins, single spins paid $95 and $208, and the coins kept merging until one was worth x470. It paid $955.15, and the x470 coin was still sitting on the grid, unpaid, when the last spin ended.
Epic Free Spins: the coins merged up to x470, with $955.15 won
Across the three buys we spent $1,400 and got $1,154.80 back. Three rounds are nowhere near enough to rank the tiers. What they do show is that the dearer tiers grow much bigger coins, and that finishing a round with a big coin left on the grid is part of the design. One more practical note: the big-win screens (Cosmic, Galactic and Supermassive) count up slowly and need a click to skip, and after any buy a one-click Rebuy button appears for the same tier.
Is Cosmic Clusters! worth trying?
Yes, if you enjoy a bonus that builds. The coin merge is a genuinely different take on Pragmatic Play's money symbols: you can see the value growing on the grid, and the three buy tiers change what can land rather than just how often. The top RTP of 96.45% is solid, and the volatility sits in the middle.
The weaknesses are just as clear. The base game pays often but small, the 5,000x cap is modest next to Pragmatic Play's recent 20,000x and 25,000x releases, and every round can end with its biggest coin unpaid. If coin collecting is your thing, compare it with Inca Queen; if you want a cluster grid with multipliers instead of coins, try Sugar Rush Super Scatter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play the Cosmic Clusters! demo for free?+
Yes. The demo at the top of this page is Pragmatic Play's official demo with play money, so there is no sign-up and no deposit. It runs the same rules as the real-money game, and it is the version we used for our 200-spin test.
What is the RTP of Cosmic Clusters!?+
96.45% in its standard version. Pragmatic Play also supplies 95.52% and 94.53% versions, and each casino chooses which one it runs. In the 96.45% version the game's rules list 96.44% to 96.53% for the three bonus buys and 96.47% to 96.54% for the two ante bets.
How do the money coins work in Cosmic Clusters!?+
Five or more coins touching in a cluster pay the sum of their values. The coins then disappear and one new coin worth the amount just paid lands on an empty position, so coin values can keep growing from one win to the next. In free spins, coins that are not part of a win sink to the bottom row and wait there.
How much does the Cosmic Clusters! bonus buy cost?+
There are three tiers: 100x the bet for standard free spins, 300x for Super Free Spins where only silver and gold coins land, and 1,000x for Epic Free Spins with gold coins only. At a $1 bet that is $100, $300 and $1,000.
Is Cosmic Clusters! the same as other games called Cosmic Clusters?+
No. This review covers Pragmatic Play's Cosmic Clusters!, with the exclamation mark, released on 16 July 2026. Other studios have used the Cosmic Clusters name for different games with different rules, so check the provider before you play.
