Le Pharaoh hands you the decision: every three- or four-scatter trigger and every buy opens a choice between Luck of the Pharaoh's free spins, which keep their Golden Squares all round, and Lost Treasures, a hold-and-win with refilling lives and Stone Tablets that grow the coins. The rules price both within a fraction of a point, and every mode reaches 15,000x. The catch is the base game: line pays top out at 3x, so the Rainbow does the heavy lifting.

  • You enjoy a build-up: Luck of the Pharaoh keeps its Golden Squares lit for the whole round

Le Pharaoh: Full Review

Le Pharaoh is a Hacksaw Gaming slot from September 2024 that sends Smokey the raccoon to Egypt as a pharaoh. Winning symbols stick and re-drop on its 6x5, 19-line grid, leaving Golden Squares that a Rainbow turns into coins, clovers and Pots of Gold. Triggers and buys open a choice between free spins and a hold-and-win round, up to 15,000x. Our demo test played 100 base spins at $1, both FeatureSpins modes and both buys.

What is the Le Pharaoh slot about?

The rules say Smokey "got smoked" in Paris and now runs his tricks on tourists at the Great Pyramid. A gold-trimmed grid stands by a palm-fringed oasis with sandstone pyramids behind, and Smokey waits on the right with a crook. The free spins move to a pyramid at night, and Lost Treasures goes underground into a tomb full of urns.

Wins pay along 19 fixed lines, from the leftmost reel, and only the best win on each line counts.

The line pays are modest by design: at a $1 bet, six of a kind pays $0.50 to $0.70 for the card letters, $1.50 for the hourglass or the crook and flail, $2 for the Eye of Horus or the ankh and $3 for the scarab. Six Wilds pay $3 as well.

The Wild is a papyrus scroll, not the wanted poster some review sites describe, and it stands in for every paytable symbol. Two of those sites quote a 29.21% hit rate; our base game paid on 25 of 100 spins.

Le Pharaoh bonus features

Sticky Re-drops

When a line win lands, its symbols stick and the rest of the grid drops again. Anything that extends a win or makes a new one sticks too, and the re-drops go on until nothing new connects; only then do the wins pay. Every paying symbol that stuck leaves a Golden Square behind. A Rainbow or FS symbol that lands with a sticky win also holds, but marks no square.

Golden Riches

If a Rainbow is on the grid once the re-drops stop, every Golden Square opens. Each reveals a Coin, a Pot of Gold, a Green Clover or a Golden Clover, with coins worth these multiples of the bet:

  • Bronze Coins: 0.2x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x or 4x
  • Silver Coins: 5x, 10x, 15x or 20x
  • Gold Coins: 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x or 500x

Green Clovers multiply the Coins and Pots next to them by x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x20, and Golden Clovers do the same across the whole grid. Pots of Gold then collect every Coin and other Pot, top to bottom, left to right, the remaining squares open again, and the cycle repeats until the total is paid.

Le Pharaoh base spin 8 at a $1 bet, settled: Bronze and Silver Coins over five reels after a Rainbow on reel 6, WIN $26.40Base spin 8 at $1, settled: a Rainbow on reel 6 turned a board of Golden Squares into Bronze and Silver Coins, $26.40. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

The Bonus Choice

Three FS scatters at once open a menu of two scrolls, and you pick Luck of the Pharaoh or Lost Treasures. Four scatters offer the Super versions of the same pair. Each buy opens the matching menu, so a bought round is your pick as well.

Luck of the Pharaoh and its Super version

Luck of the Pharaoh gives 10 free spins under the base rules, except that Golden Squares stay lit to the end of the round, even after a Rainbow has opened them, so every Rainbow can cash in more squares. Two FS symbols at once add 2 spins and three add 4.

Super Luck of the Pharaoh raises that to 12 spins, improves the odds of high-value Coins and Pots, and guarantees a Clover each time Golden Riches fires. The retriggers stay the same.

Lost Treasures and its Super version

Lost Treasures is a hold-and-win round with 3 lives. Only dead urns, Coins, both Clovers, Pots of Gold and two Stone Tablets land. Every spin costs a life, any symbol other than an urn restores all three, and three empty spins in a row end it, as does a full grid.

Coins and Pots stick until a Pot collects them or the round ends, and the tablets stay for the whole round. The Adding Stone Tablet puts 1x to 500x onto one random Coin every spin; the Multiplying Stone Tablet multiplies one by x2 to x20. Everything left on the grid is paid at the end.

Super Lost Treasures guarantees an Adding Stone Tablet on its first spin and better Coins and Pots. We did not play it.

Le Pharaoh Bonus Choice at a night pyramid: Luck of the Pharaoh with 10 free spins or Lost Treasures with 3 refilling livesThe Bonus Choice our natural trigger on base spin 22 opened: Luck of the Pharaoh on the left, Lost Treasures on the right. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Rainbow Over the Pyramids

The Hidden Epic Bonus needs five FS scatters at once in the base game. It plays 12 free spins with Golden Squares kept all round and a Rainbow guaranteed on every spin, with the same +2 and +4 retriggers. It is missing from the buy menu, and we never saw it.

Bonus buys and FeatureSpins

The buy menu holds two FeatureSpins modes, which stay active until you press DISABLE, and two bonus buys, both of which open the Bonus Choice:

  • BonusHunt FeatureSpins: 3x a spin, five times the bonus chance; 96.28% if you always take a Luck round from it, 96.35% if you always take Lost Treasures; labelled High
  • Rainbow FeatureSpins: 60x a spin, at least one Rainbow landing with a win every time; 96.35%, High
  • You Must Choose...: 100x; 96.33% with Luck of the Pharaoh, 96.31% with Lost Treasures; Medium
  • ...But Choose Wisely: 250x for the Super pair; 96.29% with Super Luck, 96.26% with Super Lost Treasures; High

One review site prices the Super buy at 200x, but the menu charged $250 at a $1 bet. Bets run from $0.10 to $2,000 under the demo's rules, and buys can cost more; the sites list $100 as the top bet. The cap is 15,000x in every mode, not the 10,000x one site gives, and reaching it ends the round.

Le Pharaoh buy menu at a $1 bet: BonusHunt FeatureSpins $3, Rainbow FeatureSpins $60, You Must Choose... $100 and ...But Choose Wisely $250The buy menu at a $1 bet: BonusHunt and Rainbow FeatureSpins, then the $100 and $250 Bonus Choice tiers. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.

Played on Hacksaw Gaming's official demo in US dollars, with every round checked against the game server's log, on 19 October in two sessions. On base spin 13 the win-confirm call failed ('OOPS! Connection lost to wallet') and the game reloaded into a new $5,000.00 session; that spin's $0.10 was never credited and counts as $0. Session 1 (spins 1 to 13, from the runner's record, as the in-page log was lost) ended at $5,013.50; session 2 (spins 14 to 100, both modes and both buys) at $4,609.40; both match the screen. Base: $100.00 in, $203.50 back, $46.20 without the natural Luck of the Pharaoh ($77.40) and Lost Treasures ($79.90). BonusHunt FeatureSpins: 10 spins at $3, $0.10 back, no bonus. Rainbow FeatureSpins: 10 spins at $60, $600.00 in, $409.00 back, every spin paid. Super Lost Treasures and Rainbow Over the Pyramids were not seen. A sample this size cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.

We played Hacksaw Gaming's official demo in US dollars from the $5,000 starting balance and checked every round against the game server's log.

A fault split the test in two. On base spin 13 the game showed "OOPS! Connection lost to wallet" and, after OK, reloaded into a new $5,000 session; that spin's $0.10 was never credited, so it counts as nothing, and spins 1 to 13 rest on the runner's own record because the in-page log went with the reload.

Session 1 closed at $5,013.50 and session 2 at $4,609.40, each matching the balance on screen.

Our base game paid $203.50 for its $100.00, though only 25 spins won and 16 of those paid under $1. Two natural triggers did most of the work. Spin 22 opened the Bonus Choice, we took Luck of the Pharaoh, and its 10 spins saved up Golden Squares until the last one, which paid $60.00; the round came to $77.40.

Spin 62 paid $8.90 in re-drops and landed three scatters. This time we took Lost Treasures, which ran 15 spins of sticky coins and paid $71.00 at the end, $79.90 with the trigger.

Le Pharaoh board after our natural Lost Treasures, settled: Bronze and Silver Coins among dead urns, WIN $79.90, balance $5,118.40Back on the base screen after our natural Lost Treasures from spin 62: its Bronze and Silver Coins still showing, $79.90. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Without those two rounds, the base game returned $46.20, and one spin made $26.40 of it: on spin 8 a Rainbow turned a board of Golden Squares from sticky re-drops into Bronze and Silver Coins. After that the best plain wins were $5.20 on spin 35 and $4.30 on spin 68, and the longest run without a win lasted 11 spins.

Ten BonusHunt spins at $3 paid once, $0.10, with no bonus. Ten Rainbow FeatureSpins at $60 all paid, from $7.00 to $137.00, but only $67.80 and $137.00 beat the price, and the mode returned $409.00 of $600.00.

The $100 You Must Choose... buy went to Lost Treasures. The lives kept refilling for 27 spins, a Pot of Gold held 49 near the end, and the round paid $78.00.

The $250 ...But Choose Wisely buy went to Super Luck of the Pharaoh. Its 12 spins lit Golden Squares, but Rainbows rarely landed to open them: one spin paid $12.00 from lines and coins, two more paid $0.20 and $0.10, and the round totalled $12.30.

Le Pharaoh Super Luck of the Pharaoh free spin from our $250 buy: Golden Squares lit on reels 1 to 3, no Rainbow, TOTAL WIN $12.20Super Luck of the Pharaoh from our $250 buy, five spins left: Golden Squares lit on reels 1 to 3 and no Rainbow, $12.20 so far. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Each buy and each natural round is one result. Mode by mode:

  • Base game, 100 spins at $1: $100.00 in, $203.50 back ($46.20 without the two natural bonuses)
  • BonusHunt FeatureSpins, 10 spins at $3: $30.00 in, $0.10 back
  • Rainbow FeatureSpins, 10 spins at $60: $600.00 in, $409.00 back
  • You Must Choose... buy at 100x, Lost Treasures: $100.00 in, $78.00 back
  • ...But Choose Wisely buy at 250x, Super Luck of the Pharaoh: $250.00 in, $12.30 back

The rules screen gave 96.18% if you always pick Luck of the Pharaoh and 96.21% if you always pick Lost Treasures. We never saw Super Lost Treasures or Rainbow Over the Pyramids, and 100 spins is far too few to measure the RTP or the 3 out of 5 volatility.

Is Le Pharaoh worth trying?

The Bonus Choice is what sets Le Pharaoh apart. Luck of the Pharaoh is a slow build: squares pile up across the round, and its value depends on Rainbows arriving late enough to open a crowded board. Lost Treasures is the steadier format, with lives that refill, coins that stay and tablets that grow them every spin.

The rules put the two choices within 0.07 of a percentage point of each other at every tier, so pick by temperament. In our test the natural Luck round paid $77.40 and the natural Lost Treasures $79.90, while the bought Lost Treasures returned $78.00 and the bought Super Luck $12.30, one round each.

The base game leans on the Rainbow. Line pays top out at $3 for six scarabs at $1, so the real money comes when a Rainbow lands on a grid of Golden Squares. Rainbow FeatureSpins forces that at 60x a spin, but a Rainbow over a few squares can still pay little.

The intro sign gives 3 out of 5 for volatility, the rules no label, and the buy cards High except for the Medium You Must Choose... tier. The review sites we checked list lower RTP versions of 94.33%, 92.26% and 88.24% beside 96.18%.

Le Bandit, Smokey's 2023 debut, has the same Golden Squares, Rainbow and coin ladder up to 500x Gold, by both games' rules. Le Pharaoh swaps its clusters and Super Cascades for 19 lines and Sticky Re-drops, splits the clover into Green and Golden at up to x20 instead of x10, adds the Bonus Choice with Lost Treasures, and raises the cap from 10,000x to 15,000x.

Le Zeus followed in 2025 on the same 6x5, 19-line grid but replaces Golden Squares and Rainbows with Mystery symbols, adds Diamonds above a 100x Gold Coin, plays 8-spin rounds that cannot retrigger and reaches 20,000x.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play the Le Pharaoh demo for free?+

Yes, on this page, in Hacksaw Gaming's own demo with $5,000 of play money and a $2.00 opening bet. Both buys work and still stop at the Bonus Choice, so you can try either bonus. Coin reveals run slowly, so expect a Lost Treasures round to take a few minutes; our bought one lasted 27 spins.

Who makes Le Pharaoh?+

Hacksaw Gaming, which released it in September 2024, about a year after Le Bandit. At least one casino lists it under a different studio, but it sits on Hacksaw's own games list and its demo runs on Hacksaw's servers. Smokey the raccoon from Le Bandit plays the title role.

Which bonus is better in Le Pharaoh?+

By the rules, neither by much: picking Lost Treasures every time gives 96.21% in the base game against 96.18% for Luck of the Pharaoh, and the bought versions differ by 0.02 to 0.03 points. Luck rewards late Rainbows over saved squares; Lost Treasures pays steadily from sticky coins. Ours paid $77.40 and $79.90 naturally.

How do Golden Squares work in Le Pharaoh?+

Every paying symbol that sticks during a re-drop marks its square. If a Rainbow is on the grid when the re-drops end, all marked squares turn into coins of 0.2x to 500x, clovers or Pots of Gold. Luck of the Pharaoh and Rainbow Over the Pyramids keep them lit until the round ends, even after a Rainbow opens them.

What is the max win on Le Pharaoh?+

15,000x the bet, open in every mode, and the round stops when it is reached. Some sources say 10,000x, but the game's own rules give 15,000x. Our best single result was the natural Lost Treasures at $79.90 on a $1 bet, and our most expensive buy, $250, returned $12.30.
