What is the Big Bass Amazon Xtreme slot about?

The reels sit under a rainforest river, with the fisherman in a wooden boat at the top left, his net in the water. A REEL KINGDOM mark sits bottom left, below the ante switch and the BUY FREE SPINS price.

Wins pay left to right on 10 lines. At a $1 bet the fishing float pays $200 for five and $0.50 for two, the only two-symbol win. The toucan pays $100, the rod and the backpack $50 each. A and K pay $10 for five, Q, J and 10 pay $5, and three of any letter $0.20.

The fish are money symbols worth 0.2x to 1,000x the bet, in 17 steps. They have no line pay; their cash is won in free spins, or when a random base-game collect fires. The fisherman wild lands only in free spins and replaces every symbol except the scatter and the fish.

A random fish collect in the base game

After any base spin, the game can add up the values of all fish on screen and pay them with a random multiplier of 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 30x, 40x or 50x. When it fires, the fisherman cheers over a glowing chest and a banner shows the sum.

Scatters and help for the third one

The scatter is a leaping fish on every reel. Three or more give 10 free spins; four or five add no spins but open the pick game with one or two boots already revealed. When two land without a third, either both scatters drop a row while the other reels respin, or a crocodile turns one symbol into a scatter.

The vase pick before free spins

Each round, natural or bought, opens on 14 clay vases around a golden fish. Every pick reveals a modifier until a boot ends the picks, and a bar across the top lights the tiles won. The rules list four kinds:

• More free spins: +1, +2 and +3 tiles, at most 6 extra spins in all
• Guaranteed fish: up to three +1 tiles, for one to three fish on every free spin
• Already collected fishermen: up to three fishermen counted toward the first retrigger before a spin is played
• Remove lowest fish: found once, it takes the 2x fish value out of the round; found again, the 5x value goes too

Fisherman collects and an eight-level trail

In free spins each fisherman collects the value of every fish on screen, and the fishermen are counted until the round ends. Each fourth one adds 10 spins and raises the multiplier on fish collections: 2x at level 2, then 3x, 10x, 20x, 30x, 40x and 50x at level 8, the last of seven retriggers.

Help at the end of a free spin

With fishermen on screen but no fish, fish can drop into random positions, or a waterfall can change every symbol except the fishermen. With fish but no fisherman, a hook can pull a reel up to bring fishermen in, and a random hook can drag in both. The round runs on special reels.

Ante bet and Buy Free Spins

The HIGHER CHANCE TO WIN switch raises the bet multiplier from 10x to 15x, $1.50 at a $1 base bet. More scatters sit on the reels and natural free spins become likelier, the buy switches off, and the RTP is 96.06%. We kept it off: the game server's log shows ante level 0 on all 101 rounds.

BUY FREE SPINS costs 100x the base bet, $100 at $1, at the same 96.07% as normal play. There is one price and no choice of round; the scatters and the vase picks decide the rest.

Maximum win, RTP and bets

Wins stop at 10,000x the bet, $10,000 at $1, and a round that reaches the cap ends at once. The rules give a 96.07% RTP, bets of $0.10 to $375 against the $250 top bet most review sites list, and a LOW VOLATILITY badge where those sites say high.

What changed from Big Bass Bonanza

Both games' rules have 5x3 reels, 10 lines, a LOW VOLATILITY badge and a fisherman wild that lands only in free spins, where every fourth one retriggers the round. Big Bass Bonanza stops at three retriggers and 10x, pays its 2x to 2,000x fish only in free spins, gives 10 to 20 spins by scatter count and caps at 2,100x, with no buy or ante.

Amazon Xtreme runs the trail to 50x, pays fish in the base game too, gives four or five scatters revealed boots instead of 15 or 20 spins, and adds the buy and ante. The cap rises to 10,000x, while the RTP drops from 96.71% to 96.07% and Q, J and 10 pay $5 for five instead of $10.

We have also tested Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000: its pick is one pumpkin from six, its ladder stops at level 4 and 10x, and it caps at 20,000x under a medium badge.

Our Big Bass Amazon Xtreme demo test

The demo opened at $2.00 with the buy at $200; at our $1.00 the buy cost $100. A script clicked the spin button for each of the 100 base spins, without autoplay, and quick spin from spin 2 changed only the speed.

The first 12 spins paid nothing, and spins 55 to 69 were the longest dry run. Five spins carried the base game: spins 70 to 74 returned $37.80 of its $47.80, the other 95 spins $10.00.

Spins 70 and 71 both fired the random collect, for $5.20 and $4.40. In the game server's data each total equals the fish values in view, so both ran at 1x. Spin 72 then lined up four toucans on line 6 for $15.00, our best base win; without it, the other 99 spins returned $32.80.

On spin 74 the game server's data shows a respin inside the same paid spin, with three scatters, and the pick screen followed. Our picks found FREE SPINS +1, FREE SPINS +2 and one guaranteed fish before a boot: 13 spins with a fish on every one.

The fish came every time; the fishermen did not. Apart from $0.20, the money came from the round's only two fishermen, on free spins 11 and 12, who collected $4.00 and $9.00. It ended at $13.20 with no retrigger, and without spin 74 the base game returned $34.60.

The $100 buy announced "3 SCATTERS ENTRY!", and the picks gave one guaranteed fish and FREE SPINS +1, for 11 spins. Again two fishermen came, collecting $11.00 on free spin 7 and $9.00 on free spin 9; three other spins added $2.40. The round paid $22.40, 0.22 times its price.

With two fishermen per round, the trail never reached a retrigger or a multiplier. We also never saw four or five scatters, FREE SPINS +3, already collected fishermen, REMOVE LOWEST FISH or a base collect above 1x; those come from the rules.

Big Bass Bonanza, Big Bass Splash and Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 all stop their fisherman ladder at 10x; this trail climbs to 50x. With picks that can stack spins, fish and fishermen before the first spin, and fish cash in the base game, a round here has more ways to grow than the original ever had.

Every step still needs four fishermen, though, and a boot on the first pick starts the round with no modifiers. Our two rounds showed a fish far more often than a fisherman to collect it. The 96.07% RTP sits below Big Bass Bonanza's 96.71%, and three of a letter return $0.20.
