Big Bass Splash keeps the original's single fisherman and 2x, 3x and 10x ladder, then adds what Big Bass Bonanza lacked: two-scatter help, up to five random modifiers before free spins, three rescue features inside them and a 100x buy at the same 96.71% RTP. Fish up to 5,000x can fill the cap, but the base game still has no wild and its fish never pay.

Who it suits

Play this if…

  • You liked Big Bass Bonanza and want more going on: two-scatter help, random modifiers and three rescue features
  • You want fish that can reach the cap: values climb all the way to 5,000x
  • You want to buy the round at no RTP cost: the 100x buy runs at 96.71%, like the base game

Skip this if…

  • You want the base game to carry you: no wild, unpaid fish, and 82 of our 100 spins paid nothing
  • You count on the modifiers: they are random, and four of five still left our $100 round at $58.00
  • You want a ceiling above 5,000x: one top fish fills the cap and ends the round

Big Bass Splash: Full Review

Big Bass Splash is the June 2022 fishing slot from the Reel Kingdom studio, released by Pragmatic Play, and not its later 1000 edition. It keeps the 5x3 reels and the fisherman collect that Big Bass Bonanza began with, then adds help for two-scatter spins, up to five random modifiers before free spins and a 100x buy. Fish values and the cap both reach 5,000x, and the rules give a 96.71% RTP and medium volatility. Our Big Bass Splash demo test covers 100 spins at $1 and one buy.

What is the Big Bass Splash slot about?

The reels sit just under the surface of a river running between sandstone cliffs, with weed, coral and an old horseshoe on the bed below. Two golden bass flank the logo, a BUY FREE SPINS button with its price waits top left, and a REEL KINGDOM mark sits bottom left. This time the fisherman wears a cowboy hat.

Wins pay left to right on 10 fixed lines, and only the best win per line counts. At a $1 bet the monster truck pays $200 for five and $0.50 for two, the game's only two-of-a-kind pay. Rods reach $100, dragonflies and tackle boxes $50 and fish $20. A and K pay $10 for five, Q, J and 10 pay $5, and three of any letter pay $0.20.

Fish double as money symbols. On every spin each one takes one of 13 values, from 2x up to 5,000x the bet, yet those values are only won in free spins. Outside the bonus a fish is just another line symbol, and since the fisherman wild lands only in free spins too, base-game wins come from the lines alone.

Big Bass Splash base game at a $1 bet: five green J symbols across the middle row, a $2.00 fish on reel 1 and a scatter on reel 5, WIN $5.00Spin 11 of 100 at $1: five Js paid $5.00, and the $2.00 fish paid nothing. FluxPlays demo test, 18 October 2026.

Big Bass Splash bonus features

Two-scatter help

Three, four or five scatters trigger 10, 15 or 20 free spins. When only two land, a random feature may try to find a third: either the reels holding the scatters drop one position while the others respin, or a hook pulls a reel up to show another scatter. Neither fires every time, and neither guarantees the third.

Modifiers before free spins

Before every free spins round the game picks 0 to 5 modifiers at random, shown as badges down the left of the reels:

  • More Fish: more fish on the reel strips for the round
  • More Fisherman: more wilds on the reel strips
  • More Dynamites, Hooks and Bazookas: better odds of the three rescue features
  • Start From Level 2: the round opens at the x2 level
  • +2 Spins: 2 extra spins at the start and 2 more on every retrigger
Big Bass Splash modifier step after our $100 buy: three scatters, and four of five badges lit for Level 2, +2 spins, more fish and more fishermenOur $100 buy drew four of the five modifiers; only the hook badge stayed grey. FluxPlays demo test, 18 October 2026.

Fisherman collect and the retrigger ladder

In free spins the fisherman substitutes for everything except the scatter, and each one that lands collects the value of every fish on screen. Every fourth fisherman adds 10 spins and raises the collection multiplier: 2x at level 2, 3x at level 3 and 10x at level 4, after which the round cannot retrigger. Extra spins are played once the current batch ends.

Dynamite, hook and bazooka

Three random features can rescue a free spin that would otherwise collect nothing. With fishermen on screen but no fish, dynamite can drop fish in, or a bazooka can turn every symbol except the fishermen into something new. With fish but no fisherman, a hook can pull a reel up to bring fishermen on. Free spins also run on special reels.

Big Bass Splash free spins with 9 left: the fisherman bar lit to its +12 free spins x2 tile, and a $50.00 bass on reel 2Free spin 3 of our $100 buy: the round opened at x2, and every retrigger tile reads +12. FluxPlays demo test, 18 October 2026.

Maximum win and the 100x buy

Wins are capped at 5,000x the bet, the same as the top fish, so a single 5,000x fish collected at any level ends the round, and any spins left are forfeited. The buy costs 100x the bet and lands three, four or five scatters at random. The rules give it the same 96.71% RTP as normal play, and there is no ante or other special bet.

What changed from Big Bass Bonanza

The two games' rules share the core: 5x3 reels, 10 lines, 10, 15 or 20 free spins, one fisherman who collects every fish, the fourth-fisherman ladder of 2x, 3x and 10x, and a 96.71% RTP. Big Bass Bonanza caps at 2,100x and its fish stop at 2,000x; here the cap is 5,000x, and the fish gain 100x, 200x, 500x, 1,666x, 2,500x and 5,000x values.

Splash also adds the two-scatter help, the random modifiers and the 100x buy, and swaps the original's single random-fish feature for dynamite, hook and bazooka. The low pays shrink in return: Q, J and 10 pay $5 for five instead of $10, and three letters pay $0.20 instead of $0.50. The monster truck replaces the float at the top, and the rules' label moves from low to medium.

Played on the official demo with play money, base spins one at a time and without autoplay, in a single session. The game has no ante bet or special modes. Free spins never triggered in the 100 base spins; the two-scatter respin fired on spins 10 and 64 without adding a third scatter. The Free Spins buy ($100) drew four of the five modifiers, ran 12 spins at x2 with no retrigger and paid $58.00, a single result. Totals from the spin log: $200.00 staked, $91.20 returned, ending at $99,891.20. 100 spins and one buy cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.

We cut the opening $2.00 bet to $1.00, played 100 base spins one at a time without autoplay, then bought free spins once. The base game returned $33.20 from 18 wins: four of $0.20, two of $0.50, one of $0.70, two of $1.00, five of $2.00, one of $3.00, two of $5.00 and one of $5.70. The longest losing run was 12 spins, from spin 13 to 24.

Free spins never triggered on their own. The two-scatter respin fired twice, on spins 10 and 64, moving both scatters down a row while the other reels spun again, but no third scatter came and both spins paid nothing. We never saw the hook.

The best base win came on spin 25. Monster trucks landed on reels 1 to 4 but did not share a line, so instead of the $20.00 that four in a row pay, they and a line of queens made $5.70.

Big Bass Splash spin 25 at a $1 bet, settled: four monster trucks on reels 1 to 4 split across two rows, WIN $5.70 and LINE 5 PAYS $0.20Spin 25 of 100 at $1: four trucks off a single line, $5.70 in all. FluxPlays demo test, 18 October 2026.

The $100 buy landed three scatters, and the modifier step lit four badges one after another: Start From Level 2, +2 Spins, More Fish and More Fisherman. Only More Dynamites, Hooks and Bazookas missed. The round opened with 12 free spins already at x2, and because of +2 Spins every retrigger tile on the bar read +12.

None of those tiles was reached. The bar finished one fisherman past the x2 tile, no retrigger came, and the round paid $58.00, 0.58 times its price. Four of five modifiers in its favour still left it short of its cost; it is one bought round, and it cannot show what the buy returns over time.

Big Bass Splash result after our $100 Free Spins buy: you have won $58.00, with four modifier badges still lit down the leftThe $100 buy's result: $58.00 from 12 free spins at x2. FluxPlays demo test, 18 October 2026.

The session, split into its two parts:

  • Base game, 100 spins at $1: $100.00 in, $33.20 back
  • Free Spins buy at 100x: $100.00 in, $58.00 back

Across the session we staked $200.00 and got $91.20 back, and the server balance went from $100,000.00 to $99,891.20, in line with our log. We never saw natural free spins, four or five scatters, the hook, dynamite or bazooka, or a collection multiplier above x2. A hundred spins and a single buy cannot measure a 96.71% RTP or test the medium rating.

Is Big Bass Splash worth trying?

This is the fuller version of the original. Fish values climb to 5,000x, the modifiers can hand a round extra fishermen, extra fish or a head start at x2, and three rescue features work on spins that would collect nothing. The buy and the base game share the same 96.71% RTP, so buying the round costs no return on paper.

The weak spots are familiar. Fish pay nothing in the base game and there is no wild there, so most of our base spins came up empty: 82 of 100. Modifiers are random, from none to five, and even four of them did not lift our $100 round past its price. And because the cap equals the top fish, a single 5,000x catch ends a round on the spot.

All three review sites we checked rate it high, against the medium volatility badge on the game's own rules page, which describes steady pays that range from low to very high. Our table goes by the game.

Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000, another Reel Kingdom game we have tested, turns these random modifiers into a pick of one pumpkin from six, offering More Fishermen, Start From Level 2, More Fish, More Treats, +2 Spins or nothing. It caps at 20,000x with fish up to 1,000x, a different balance from the 5,000x fish and 5,000x cap here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play the Big Bass Splash demo for free?+

Yes. This page runs Pragmatic Play's official Big Bass Splash demo with play money, so there is nothing to deposit or sign up for. Ours opened at $2.00 and stepped down in $0.20 moves to $1.00. The BUY FREE SPINS button at the top left shows the price at your current bet, $100 at $1, and asks you to confirm before it spends anything.

Is Big Bass Splash the same as Big Bass Splash 1000?+

No. This page covers the original Big Bass Splash from June 2022, game code vs10txbigbass, with a 5,000x cap and fish worth up to 5,000x. Big Bass Splash 1000 is a later, separate game with rules of its own. Big Bass Bonanza, where the series began, is different again: a 2,100x cap, no buy and none of the modifiers.

What are the modifiers in Big Bass Splash?+

Before each free spins round the game picks between none and all five at random: More Fish, More Fisherman, More Dynamites, Hooks and Bazookas, Start From Level 2 and +2 Spins. Bought rounds get them too. Our $100 buy drew four, every one except the dynamite, hook and bazooka badge, and opened with 12 spins at x2.

What is the RTP of Big Bass Splash?+

96.71%, according to the demo's rules, and the 100x buy runs at the same 96.71%, so buying does not lower the return. All three review sites we checked also list 95.67% and 94.60% versions, which casinos can pick instead. Our base spins returned $33.20 and the buy $58.00, far too little play to say anything about RTP.

What is the max win in Big Bass Splash?+

5,000x the bet, which is $5,000 at $1 and $1,250,000 at the $250 top bet. The top fish is also worth 5,000x, so a single one collected at any level fills the cap, ends the round and forfeits the spins left. That is well above Big Bass Bonanza's 2,100x. Our best result was the $58.00 buy.
