Our verdict
Energoonz is the small, plain start of the Reactoonz line: three-in-a-row wins on a 5x5 grid that empties as chains run, a multiplier that grows with every drop, wilds left behind by three-symbol wins, a bonus game for clearing a BONUS column and 1,000x for clearing the board. Base pays are small, stakes stop at $40 and the game states no RTP.

- You want a big stated cap: the rules name only the 1,000x full clear
- You want a bonus buy or stakes above $40: the game offers neither
- You want the RTP from the game itself: its rules state none

Energoonz: Full Review
Energoonz is the November 2013 game that Play'n GO calls the first of its Reactoonz series: a 5x5 grid of aliens and energy tiles where three or more in a row or column win, the winners vanish and a multiplier climbs with every drop. Clearing a column marked BONUS starts a set of free rounds with their own monsters, and clearing the whole grid pays 1,000x the bet. We played the Energoonz slot demo for 100 spins at $1.

What is Energoonz?
The grid floats on a deep blue starfield. A metal energy tube wrapped in coils stands to its right, and on the left a scrolling list records each win under a MULTIPLIER readout. The cast is a black alien with a swirl on its head, an orange box-shaped alien and a green three-eyed one, plus purple lightning tiles, red flame tiles, a green atom and the plasma ball wild.
Every row and column is active. A win needs three or more of the same symbol touching in a straight line, across or down, and it can start anywhere on the grid. One symbol can belong to several wins at once, and each combination pays only its highest win.
The paytable shows its pays at the current bet. At $1, five black aliens in a row pay $25, four $2.50 and three 50 cents. The orange and green aliens pay $15, $1.50 and 35 cents, the lightning tiles $10, $1.25 and 30 cents, the flames $7.50, $1 and 25 cents, and the atom $5, 75 cents and 20 cents.
Single and double lightning tiles, or single and double flames, can also mix in one line. A mixed line is a lesser win: $2.50 for five, 50 cents for four and 15 cents for three, the smallest pay in the game.
Five bet buttons offer 0.20, 1.00, 2.00, 10.00 and 40.00, with minus and plus beside them. The server lists 20 coins a spin at coin values from 0.01 to 2.00, so a spin costs $0.20 to $40. The game collects every win by itself, with no gamble step.
Base spin 26 of 100 at $1, settled: five wins in the list from x1 to x3 and $3.55 for the spin, with gaps left at the top. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.
Energoonz bonus features
Drops and the win multiplier
Each winning combination is removed once it pays, and the symbols above it drop down to form new wins if they can. The help text speaks only of the remaining symbols dropping, and our capture of spin 26 shows empty spaces at the top: the grid empties as a chain goes on.
A win multiplier rises with each new drop, and the win list in that capture runs from x1 for the first wins to x3 for the last.
The plasma ball wild
The plasma ball substitutes for any symbol. It appears in the middle position whenever a winning line of three is removed, so a short win leaves a wild behind for the next drop. It also pays for itself, $500 for five in a row at $1, $15 for four and $5 for three.
Paytable page 1 in our demo session: the plasma ball wild at 500, 15 and 5, the base symbols and 1000.00 for clearing the grid. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.
The full clear
If a chain removes every symbol from the grid, the game pays a special full clear win. The paytable shows it as 1000.00 at our $1 bet, so the prize is 1,000x the bet, not 1,000 coins.
The bonus game
Some columns carry the letters B, O, N, U and S behind their symbols. When a column like that is fully cleared, the word shows and the bonus game begins. The number of BONUS columns cleared sets the multiplier for the whole bonus.
The intro screen in our demo session: an example board with one column cleared to show BONUS, the trigger for the bonus game. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.
The bonus is a set of free rounds on a different grid. Ten monster symbols replace the base cast, the wild does not appear, and a win needs five or more matching symbols anywhere rather than a line. Every bonus win is multiplied by the multiplier.
At $1 the top monster pays $5 for five and up to $175 for ten, and the five lowest pay $1.25 to $75. Five or more energy containers in a win add bonus rounds, one for each container in it, up to a total of 20 rounds in a row. The help text does not say how many rounds the bonus opens with.
Paytable page 2 in our demo session: the ten bonus monsters paying for 5 to 10 symbols, and energy containers adding rounds up to 20. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.
RTP, volatility and max win
No RTP appears in the help text, on either paytable page or on the official game page. Review sites list 96.73% and rate the game medium volatility; the practice demo does not show which version it runs.
The 1,000x full clear is the only fixed top prize the rules name, and review sites list 1,000x as the maximum win. There is no bonus buy, no ante, no extra bet mode and no gamble.

Played on Play'n GO's official practice demo in one session, from a 25,000.00 balance, with no reload. The demo shows credits without a currency label; we count one credit as one dollar. Every spin was at 1.00, 20 coins of 0.05; spins started one at a time by a script clicking START, without Auto Play; Fast Play was switched on around spin 44 (animations only). Energoonz has no bonus buy, ante, paid mode or gamble, and the game collects every win itself. The bonus game and the full clear did not trigger, so both are described from the rules. The rules state no RTP, so no version is shown. Totals from the server log: $100.00 staked, $44.45 returned, ending at 24,944.45 to the cent. A sample of 100 spins says nothing reliable about the RTP or the volatility.
Energoonz's practice credits have no currency label, and we treat each one as a dollar. It opened on 25,000.00 with the 1.00 button already lit, 20 coins of 0.05, and all 100 spins stayed there in one session with no reload. A script pressed START for each spin, without Auto Play; we switched on Fast Play around spin 44, which only speeds up the animations.
The server log closes to the cent: $100.00 staked, $44.45 returned and 24,944.45 at the end, on the server and on screen.
Wins came often and stayed small. Half the spins paid, 49 of 100, but 35 of those wins were under $1, and 16 were the 15-cent minimum for a mixed line. In all, 86 spins returned less than the $1 they cost. The longest losing run was only 6 spins, 62 to 67.
The best round was $4.95 on spin 32, then $3.75 on spin 41 and $3.55 on spin 26, the one in our capture, where five wins reached x3. Just seven spins paid $2 or more.
The first 50 spins returned $30.40 and the last 50 only $14.05. The balance peaked at 24,999.75 after spin 3 and finished on its lowest point, 24,944.45, after spin 100.
No BONUS column was ever cleared and the grid never emptied, so the bonus game and the full clear are described here from the rules. A run of 100 spins without the bonus tells you nothing reliable about the RTP or the volatility.
Is Energoonz worth trying?
The shrinking grid is the idea that makes it different. Because the board empties as it goes, every chain eats into it, the multiplier grows with each drop, and a long enough chain ends in the 1,000x clear. Wilds left by three-symbol wins keep chains alive.
Its limits are just as clear. Three-in-a-row pays at $1 run from 15 to 50 cents, the bonus needs whole columns cleared before it starts, and the stated top prize is 1,000x. There is nothing to buy, and the most you can stake is $40.
By both games' rules, Reactoonz took the idea somewhere else four years later. It plays on a 7x7 grid with clusters of five or more touching symbols, refills the grid after each win, and swaps the BONUS columns for a charging meter and a giant wild. Energoonz keeps it to straight lines of three on a 5x5 board that empties as it goes.
Our two sessions ran alike without a bonus in either game: $33.60 back from 42 wins in Reactoonz, $44.45 from 49 here. Single sessions like these show the rhythm of the base game, not which pays more.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play the Energoonz demo for free?+
Yes. This page loads Play'n GO's practice version, free and without an account. It holds 25,000 credits with no currency sign and opens with the 1.00 button lit, among buttons for 0.20, 2.00, 10.00 and 40.00. Press START to play; the game collects each win by itself, and there is no gamble or anything to buy.
How does the Energoonz bonus game start?+
Clear every symbol from a column marked with the letters BONUS and the word appears, starting a set of free rounds. The more BONUS columns you clear, the higher the multiplier on every bonus win. In the bonus, five or more matching monsters anywhere win, and five or more energy containers add rounds, up to 20. We did not trigger it in 100 spins.
Is Energoonz related to Reactoonz?+
Yes. Play'n GO calls Energoonz the first game in its Reactoonz series. Reactoonz followed in October 2017 on a 7x7 grid with clusters of five or more and a charging meter. Energoonz is smaller and simpler: a 5x5 grid, wins of three in a straight line, a multiplier per drop and BONUS columns instead of a meter.
What happens if you clear the whole Energoonz grid?+
Because the board empties as winning symbols are removed, a long chain can take every symbol off it. That pays a special full clear win, which the paytable shows as 1000.00 at a $1 bet: 1,000x whatever you stake. It is the only fixed top prize the rules name. We never cleared the grid in our test.
What is the RTP of Energoonz?+
The game does not state one in its help text or paytable, and Play'n GO's page gives none either. Review sites list 96.73% and rate the game medium volatility, but the practice demo does not show which RTP version it runs, so check the game information at your casino before you play for money.
