Le Viking turns the Le series into hold-and-win: six coins start Raid Spins, and its four bonuses are lives rounds whose Grid Multipliers grow with the trigger, from three x2 frames to six x10, with Magic Cauldrons firing them before they collect. Coins run up to 500x Diamonds and the cap is 10,000x. It has no wild, and nothing in a bonus pays until the lives run out.

Who it suits

Play this if…

  • You prefer hold-and-win: every bonus here runs on refilling lives and sticky coins
  • You like multipliers that scale with the trigger: three x2 frames for Berserk, six x10 in Journey to Valhalla
  • You want hold-and-win on demand: Raider FeatureSpins starts Raid Spins on every spin

Skip this if…

  • You want a wild in the base game: Le Viking has none
  • You want to see wins as they land: bonus rounds pay only at the end
  • You want classic free spins with retriggers: no FS symbols land in the bonuses

Le Viking: Full Review

Le Viking is Hacksaw Gaming's Norse chapter of the Le series, from January 2025, with Smokey the raccoon in a horned helmet. Its 6x5 grid pays 15,625 ways, six coins at once start the Raid Spins respins, and every bonus is a lives-based coin hunt with Grid Multipliers instead of classic free spins. It caps at 10,000x. Our Le Viking demo test played 100 base spins at $1, ten spins of each FeatureSpins mode and both buys.

What is the Le Viking slot about?

The grid sits in a carved wooden frame on a beach, with a longship pulled up on the sand, thatched huts and a mountain behind. Smokey greets you from the right with a "BONJOUR!" bubble.

A sign above the reels prices the coins in dollars at your bet: at $1, Bronze $0.20 to $4, Silver $5 to $20, Gold $25 to $100 and Diamonds $150 to $500. The bonuses move onto the longship in a thunderstorm.

Wins pay on 15,625 ways, three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left. There is no wild at all, unlike every other Le game we have tested. At a $1 bet, six of a kind pays $0.50 to $0.70 for the card letters, $1.50 for the bow or the horned helmet, $2 for the axe or the sword and $3 for the hammer.

The review sites put the hit rate at 38.17%, all three of them, and 39 of our 100 base spins won something.

Le Viking base game at the opening $2.00 bet: a 6x5 grid of letters, bows, axes and coins on a beach, Smokey as a Viking saying BONJOURLe Viking before our first spin, at the demo's opening $2.00 bet, so the coin sign shows double the $1 values. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Le Viking bonus features

Raid Spins

Six Coins of any kind landing together in the base game start Raid Spins, a respin mode with 3 refilling lives. From then on only skulls, which are dead symbols, Coins, Diamonds and Clovers land, and all of them stick. Each new Coin, Diamond or Clover refills the lives to 3, and three dead spins in a row end the mode.

At the end, every Coin and Diamond shows its value:

  • Bronze Coins: 0.2x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x or 4x
  • Silver Coins: 5x, 10x, 15x or 20x
  • Gold Coins: 25x, 50x or 100x
  • Diamonds: 150x, 250x or 500x

Green Clovers then multiply the Coins and Diamonds beside them, and Gold Clovers all of them, by x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x20, before everything is added up.

Le Viking base spin 25 at a $1 bet, settled: bows on all six reels forming one winning way, WIN $9.00, balance $5,006.00Base spin 25 at $1, settled: bows on all six reels made our best base win, $9.00. FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.

Berserk

Three FS scatters at once start Berserk, a lives-based bonus with 3 refilling lives. Only dead symbols, Coins, Diamonds, Clovers, Hearts and Magic Cauldrons land, so there are no line wins and no FS symbols, and the three trigger squares become sticky x2 Grid Multipliers.

Coins, Diamonds and Clovers stick until a Magic Cauldron lands. The Cauldron first fires the Grid Multipliers and Clovers on everything in range, then collects every Coin, Diamond and earlier Cauldron, once each. Cauldrons never land on a Grid Multiplier. A Heart raises the life limit by one, up to 5. When the lives run out, the coins reveal, the multipliers fire one last time and the total is paid.

Valkyrie and Ragnarok

The same rules scale with the trigger. Four scatters give Valkyrie, with four x3 Grid Multipliers. Five give Ragnarok, with five x5 multipliers.

Journey to Valhalla

The Hidden Epic Bonus needs six scatters at once in the base game. It brings six x10 Grid Multipliers, and Bronze and Silver Coins disappear from the round. It is not on the buy menu, and neither is Valkyrie; we saw neither.

The 10,000x cap holds in every mode, Raid Spins included, and the demo allows bets from $0.10 to $2,000, with buys allowed above that. The review sites list $100 as the top bet.

Bonus buys and FeatureSpins

The buy menu holds two FeatureSpins modes, which stay on until you press DISABLE, and two bonus buys:

  • BonusHunt FeatureSpins: 3x a spin, five times the bonus chance; 96.35% RTP, labelled Very high volatility
  • Raider FeatureSpins: 30x a spin, every spin goes straight into Raid Spins with sticky coins and no FS symbols; 96.27%, Medium
  • Berserk Free Spins: 100x; 96.29%, High
  • Ragnarok Free Spins: 200x; 96.29%, High

One review site doubles every price and every paytable figure; the buy menu charged $3, $30, $100 and $200 at a $1 bet, and the rules' paytable matches the figures above.

Le Viking buy menu at a $1 bet: BonusHunt FeatureSpins $3, Raider FeatureSpins $30, Berserk Free Spins $100 and Ragnarok $200The buy menu at a $1 bet: BonusHunt and Raider FeatureSpins, then the Berserk and Ragnarok buys. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Played on Hacksaw Gaming's official demo in US dollars, with every round checked against the game server's log, in two sessions: base spins 1 to 22 on 19 October ($5,000.00 to $4,982.60) and the rest on 20 October in a fresh demo ($5,000.00 to $4,815.40, matching the screen). BonusHunt FeatureSpins: 10 spins at $3, $1.00 back, no bonus. Raider FeatureSpins: 10 spins at $30, $300.00 in, $284.50 back, every spin went into Raid Spins and paid. Totals from the spin log across both sessions: $730.00 staked, $528.00 returned. Raid Spins, Valkyrie and Journey to Valhalla were not triggered naturally. A sample this size cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.

We played Hacksaw Gaming's official demo in US dollars and checked every round against the game server's log. The test ran in two sessions, each from a fresh $5,000 balance: base spins 1 to 22 on 19 October, ending at $4,982.60, and everything else on 20 October, ending at $4,815.40, as the screen showed.

Our base game returned $35.50 for its $100.00 across 39 wins, 30 of them below $1. With no wild, every win was a plain run of matching symbols. The best was $9.00 on spin 25, from bows on all six reels; next came $5.10 on spin 64 and $3.00 on spin 84. The longest dry stretch was 7 spins, and neither Raid Spins nor a bonus triggered.

BonusHunt at $3 a spin paid three times, $0.10, $0.50 and $0.40, and brought no bonus.

Raider at $30 a spin dropped every spin straight into Raid Spins, and all ten paid, from $8.80 to $74.50. Only three beat the price: $74.50, $47.30 and $36.40. The coins still count on the $1 base bet, which is why our tenth spin, a board of $0.20 and $0.50 Bronze Coins with one $10 Silver, paid $12.00. The mode returned $284.50 from $300.00.

Le Viking Raider FeatureSpins spin 10 at a $30 bet, settled: Bronze Coins of $0.20 and $0.50 and a $10 Silver among skulls, WIN $12.00Raider FeatureSpins spin 10 at $30, settled: Bronze Coins of $0.20 and $0.50 and a $10 Silver among skulls, $12.00. FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.

The $100 Berserk buy ran on refilled lives for 14 spins. The TOTAL WIN counter stayed at $0.00 the whole way, since nothing pays until the end, and the coins then revealed $42.00.

Le Viking Berserk bonus from our $100 buy on a stormy longship: three x2 Grid Multipliers, sticky coins, LIVES 2/3, TOTAL WIN $0.00Berserk from our $100 buy: three x2 Grid Multiplier frames, sticky coins among skulls and LIVES 2/3, nothing paid yet. FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.

The $200 Ragnarok buy lasted 18 spins with its five x5 multipliers. At the end the board showed Gold Coins of $90 and $25, Silver of $15, $15, $5, $5 and $5, Bronze of $3, $1 and $1, and two x3 Green Clovers: $165.00 in all. The celebration count-up moved on before its final figure; the TOTAL WIN screen and the settled board confirm the amount.

Le Viking board after our $200 Ragnarok buy, settled: Gold Coins of $90 and $25, Silver and Bronze Coins, two x3 Clovers, WIN $165.00Back on the base screen after our $200 Ragnarok buy: the revealed Gold, Silver and Bronze Coins and two x3 Clovers, $165.00. FluxPlays demo test, 20 October 2026.

Each buy is a single round. Mode by mode:

  • Base game, 100 spins at $1: $100.00 in, $35.50 back
  • BonusHunt FeatureSpins, 10 spins at $3: $30.00 in, $1.00 back
  • Raider FeatureSpins, 10 spins at $30: $300.00 in, $284.50 back
  • Berserk buy at 100x: $100.00 in, $42.00 back
  • Ragnarok buy at 200x: $200.00 in, $165.00 back

Across both sessions the log sums to $730.00 staked and $528.00 returned. The rules screen showed 96.32%. We never saw natural Raid Spins, Valkyrie or Journey to Valhalla, and 100 spins is far too small a sample to judge the RTP or the 3 out of 5 rating.

Is Le Viking worth trying?

Le Viking is the Le game for players who like hold-and-win more than free spins. Every bonus is a lives round, and the trigger count decides how many Grid Multipliers you get and how strong they are, from three x2 frames up to six x10. Magic Cauldrons add a second layer, firing the multipliers and clovers before they collect, and Hearts can stretch the lives to five.

The trade-off is patience. Nothing pays until the round ends, coins start as low as 0.2x outside the top tier, and the base game has no wild to lift its 15,625 ways.

Raider FeatureSpins gives you Raid Spins on demand at 30x, but with coins paid on the $1 base bet, a board of Bronze still pays little. Our $100 Berserk returned $42.00 and our $200 Ragnarok $165.00, one round each.

Hacksaw's intro sign rates the volatility 3 out of 5, while the buy cards range from Medium for Raider to Very high for BonusHunt. Our demo ran the 96.32% version; the review sites add 94.31%, 92.28% and 88.27% for casinos that choose lower settings.

Le Bandit, the 2023 series opener, shares the 6x5 grid and the Bronze and Silver Coin values, by both games' rules, but pays clusters and fires Golden Squares with a Rainbow inside classic free spins. Le Viking swaps that for ways, coin landings and lives, stops Gold at 100x under Diamonds, adds a Gold Clover and lifts clovers from x10 to x20, at the same 10,000x cap.

Le Fisherman, from February 2026, uses the same coin and Diamond values and the same two clovers at up to x20, but keeps Golden Squares and Rainbows with free spins, collects with Buckets and caps at 15,000x.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play the Le Viking demo for free?+

Yes, on this page. Hacksaw Gaming's own demo starts you on $5,000 of play money at a $2.00 bet, and the coin sign above the reels prices every coin tier at whatever bet you choose. Raider FeatureSpins is the quickest way to see Raid Spins: at 30x it starts them on every spin.

How much do the Le Viking bonus buys cost?+

In the demo's buy menu, at a $1 bet: BonusHunt FeatureSpins $3 a spin, Raider FeatureSpins $30 a spin, Berserk Free Spins $100 and Ragnarok Free Spins $200, so 3x, 30x, 100x and 200x the bet. Some listings show double those prices; the game itself charged us these. Valkyrie and Journey to Valhalla cannot be bought.

How do Grid Multipliers work in Le Viking?+

The squares where the scatters landed become sticky Grid Multipliers for the whole bonus: three x2 in Berserk, four x3 in Valkyrie, five x5 in Ragnarok and six x10 in Journey to Valhalla. They fire when a Magic Cauldron lands and once more at the end, on the coins in their range.

What is the max win and RTP of Le Viking?+

10,000x the bet, reachable in every mode including Raid Spins. Our demo's rules gave 96.32%, the figure all three review sites we checked lead with; they also list 94.31%, 92.28% and 88.27% versions. Our best single result was the $200 Ragnarok buy, which paid $165.00 at a $1 bet.
