Cheetah Wild

Cheetah Wild is a 1,024-ways savanna slot from Pragmatic Play, released on 8 October 2026 and built around a gold paw that lands only on reel 1. The paw collects cheetah money symbols it can reach, and in free spins a level meter turns the animals into money too. The rules call it low volatility, with a 96.50% top RTP and a 5,000x cap. We tested the Cheetah Wild demo over 100 spins at $1 and bought both bonus rounds.

What is the Cheetah Wild slot about?

The reels sit in a carved wooden frame with tribal patterns, and a cheetah prowls along the dry grass on top, against a golden savanna of flat-topped acacias. A spear banner on the right reminds you that the reel 1 paw awards cheetah money. Free spins move the scene to night under a full moon.

Wins pay left to right on 1,024 ways. The four animals pay from two of a kind: at a $1 bet, five elephants or rhinos pay $4.00 and five zebras or gazelles $2.50. The card letters need three, and five of them pay $1.50 to $2.25. A baobab tree scatter can land on any reel and pays $1.00, $6.25 or $11.25 for three, four or five.

By Pragmatic Play's figures, 31.44% of spins win something, roughly one in 3.18, and free spins come once every 89.36 spins on average.

Cheetah Wild bonus features

Multiplier wilds

The wild lands on reels 2, 3 and 4 and stands in for everything except the scatter, the paw and the Level Up symbol. It can carry a random x2 or x3, applied to every win on screen. Two or more multiplier wilds multiply each other rather than add, up to x27, which takes three x3 wilds.

Cheetah money and the paw collect

Money symbols are cheetah heads on reels 2 to 5, each showing one of 18 values from 0.25x to 100x the base bet. Alone they pay nothing. The paw, the collect symbol, lands only on reel 1 and pays when it forms a left-to-right way with money symbols or wilds on the reels beside it. The money values are then collected, and a multiplier wild multiplies the amount.

With no paw, or nothing on reel 2 to start the way, the cheetahs pay nothing. Two of the review sites we checked liken this adjacent collect to Mummy's Jewels.

Free spins and the level meter

Three, four or five scatters award 8, 15 or 20 free spins on special reels, and two to five scatters in the round add 5, 8, 15 or 20 more. Free spins also bring the cheetah-eye Level Up symbol, which goes into a meter and then turns into a money symbol itself.

Apart from the Super buy, the round starts at level 1, and the meter decides which animals also become money, on the screen and on the reel strips:

• Level 2, after 4 eyes: elephants
• Level 3, after 3 more: rhinos
• Level 4, after 6 more: zebras
• Level 5, after 2 more: gazelles, and from then on eyes are no longer collected

That makes 15 eyes before every animal pays as money. The meter beside the reels shows how many eyes the next level needs. If a round reaches the 5,000x cap, it stops there and any spins left are forfeited.

Ante bet and the two buys

The ante raises the bet multiplier from 20x to 50x, so a $1 base bet costs $2.50, at 96.51% RTP. It improves the chance of higher money values in base spins, and free spins won with it get more wilds, more x3s and bigger money values. The ante panel in the game is labelled "Higher chance to win feature", though the rules page itself does not say free spins trigger more often. We left it off, per our protocol.

The bonus buys both land three to five scatters. Free Spins costs 100x at 96.57% RTP. Super Free Spins costs 500x at 96.50% and starts with 9 to 15 eyes already collected: 9 to 12 open at level 3, 13 or 14 at level 4, and 15 at level 5. Bets run from $0.20 to $240, or to $600 with the ante.

Our Cheetah Wild demo test

Our 100 base spins at $1, each started with a click, paid on 26 spins and returned $41.20. Half of those wins were smaller than the bet, and none topped 6x. Most of it came early: $23.65 in the first 12 spins, $17.55 in the other 88. The longest dry spell ran 11 spins, from spin 35 to 45.

Free spins triggered naturally on spins 2 and 7 and paid little: $5.05 in 16 spins after a +8 retrigger, then $1.55 in 8. Without them, the other 98 spins returned $34.60. In the first round a paw landed with a $12.50 cheetah on reel 5, but reels 2 to 4 held no money symbol or wild, so it stayed unpaid.

The best base win came on spin 3, when J symbols and wilds formed 4 ways across reels 1 to 4 at $0.75 each, and an x2 doubled the $3.00 to $6.00. Two cheetahs worth $0.75 and $1.25 sat on reel 2 with no paw on reel 1, and spin 11 left two $2.00 cheetahs unpaid the same way.

The $100 buy gave 8 free spins, and two scatters on free spin 2 added 5. Free spin 4 paid $41.60 and the meter reached level 2, turning elephants into money. The round returned $63.85, so everything apart from that one hit made $22.25.

The $500 Super buy landed four scatters for 15 free spins and began at level 3. On free spin 4 the paw collected seven cheetahs, three of them $100.00 each, for $328.75. Two +5 retriggers stretched the round to 25 spins and the meter reached level 4. Free spins 8 and 19 collected $91.50 and $109.75, and the last spin $263.00.

That round paid $933.50, 1.87 times its price, but two spins carried it: without free spin 4 and the last spin, the rest made $341.75. One round cannot show what the Super buy pays over time. Each part of the test on its own line:

• Super Free Spins buy at 500x: $500.00 in, $933.50 back

The server log puts the session at $700.00 staked and $1,038.55 returned. We never reached level 5, saw an x3 wild in a collect or saw multiplier wilds combine, so those come from the rules only. A hundred spins and one round per buy are far too few to measure a 96.50% RTP or to test the low volatility label.

Is Cheetah Wild worth trying?

The free spins are the reason to play. Each level turns another animal into money on the reel strips as well as the screen, so a round that keeps landing eyes fills up with cheetah values, and retriggers give it time to. The Super buy skips straight to level 3 or higher, and multiplier wilds boost collects as well as symbol wins.

The weak point is the paw. It lands only on reel 1 and needs an unbroken way to the money, so cheetahs often sit unpaid, as on our spins 3 and 11. Symbol pays are small, 4x for five elephants or rhinos, other rounds need 15 eyes before gazelles count, and the 5,000x cap is modest.

Low volatility is the game's own label, defined on its rules page as frequent smaller pays with a chance of something bigger, and no source we checked disputes it. The Free Spins buy has the highest RTP of the four ways to play, 96.57%.

Super Serge, a 4,096-ways game we have tested, also pays its money symbols through a collector at the edge of the grid, but its magnets can land on reel 1 or reel 6.
