Our verdict
Le Cowboy turns the Le series reveal into a shoot-out: a Wild inside a winning cluster becomes a Revolver Cylinder that fires coins, Diamonds, clovers and Loot Bags onto the grid, and a Reload can refill every chamber. Trail of Trickery saves a bullet for each win and fires them all on its last spin, and every mode can reach 25,000x. Nothing is revealed until a Wild joins a win, and taking the Bonus Gamble lowers the round's RTP.
Who it suits
Play this if…
- You like reveals that chain: a Reload refills the cylinders and every Loot Bag sets off another round
- You want free spins with a finale: Trail of Trickery fires every bullet it saved on its last spin
- You want a higher ceiling than Le Bandit's or Le Fisherman's: 25,000x, open in every mode
Skip this if…
- You want the base game to pay on its own: reveals need a Wild inside a winning cluster
- You want bonuses without a decision: both rounds start at the gamble screen, though CONTINUE skips it
- You want to buy the top round: Pistols at Dawn needs five scatters or the Trail of Trickery gamble

Le Cowboy: Full Review
The Le Cowboy slot is Hacksaw Gaming's Wild West entry in its Le series, from November 2025, with Smokey the raccoon in a cowboy hat. A Wild that joins a win on its 6x5 cluster grid becomes a Revolver Cylinder and shoots coins, clovers and Loot Bags onto the board. Both main bonuses open with a gamble, and every mode pays up to 25,000x. We tested 100 base spins at $1, both FeatureSpins modes and both buys.

What is the Le Cowboy slot about?
The grid stands in a wooden frame on a frontier street under red mesas, with a WANTED poster at the bottom left and Smokey on the right, revolver at his side. The rules call him Smokey Le Cowboy, the Bandit in a new outfit. The saloon bonus moves indoors under a bison head, and Trail of Trickery to a red-rock desert, where he masks his face with the bandana.
Clusters of five or more matching symbols pay wherever they touch edge to edge on the 6-reel, 5-row grid; one review site's text says 6x6, but the rules give 5 rows. Super Cascades then clear every regular symbol of the winning kind and refill the grid until nothing connects. The WILD wanted poster stands in for every paytable symbol.
Card letters pay $0.20 for five and $50 for 14 or more at a $1 bet. Hats and cacti pay $0.40 to $75, crossed revolvers and cow skulls $0.60 to $100, and the sheriff star $1 to $200. All three review sites we checked quote a 38.7% hit rate; our base game paid on 45 spins out of 100.
After base spin 10 at $1: the frontier street, a WANTED poster on the left and Smokey with his revolver, $0.60 won. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
Le Cowboy bonus features
Revolver Reveals
A Wild in a winning cluster becomes a Revolver Cylinder with 2 to 6 shots and stops being wild. When the cascades end, each cylinder hits that many squares, possibly one of them twice, and several cylinders fire top to bottom, left to right. FS scatters cannot land alongside a cylinder.
Hit squares reveal Coins, Diamonds, Clovers, Loot Bags or a Reload. A Coin shot again moves up a type and a Green Clover turns Gold; Diamonds, Gold Clovers, Loot Bags and Reloads cannot be shot again. After the last shot, a Reload, only ever one at a time, refills every cylinder with 2 to 6 shots. The values, as multiples of the bet:
- Bronze Coins: 1x, 2x, 3x or 4x
- Silver Coins: 5x, 10x, 15x or 20x
- Gold Coins: 25x, 50x or 100x
- Diamonds: 150x, 250x or 500x
Clovers and Loot Bags
Clovers act next, by x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x20: a Green Clover on the Coins, Diamonds and Loot Bags beside it, and a Gold Clover across the whole grid. Loot Bags then gather every Coin, Diamond and activated bag, top to bottom, left to right. After each bag, the clovers and Reload vanish and every shot square reveals again, until the total is paid on the bet.
High Noon Saloon and the Bonus Gamble
High Noon Saloon needs three FS scatters at once and gives 10 free spins under the base game's rules, with a better chance of Revolver Cylinders. Two more FS symbols at once add 2 spins, and three add 4.
First, the Bonus Gamble asks whether to play the round or give it up for a revolver shot at one of four outcomes: an upgrade to Trail of Trickery, where the choice comes again, or instant cash of 1x to 4x, 5x to 20x or 25x to 100x the bet. You may gamble once per bonus and once more after an upgrade.
The Bonus Gamble that opened our $65 High Noon Saloon buy; we pressed CONTINUE and played the 10 free spins. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
Trail of Trickery
Four scatters award 10 free spins in the desert, with the saloon's rules plus a Bullet Collector that loads a bullet for every win. On the last spin, after the cylinders and any Reload, Smokey fires them all; his hits reveal Coins, Diamonds, Clovers and Loot Bags, the reveal runs on as usual, and FS symbols cannot land.
Its gamble has eight outcomes: one upgrades the round to Pistols at Dawn, two pay 5x to 20x, four pay 25x to 100x, and one pays 150x, 250x or 500x.
Pistols at Dawn
The Hidden Epic Bonus, which the intro screen calls Smokey's last stand, comes from five scatters at once or that upgrade. Its 10 free spins follow the Trail of Trickery rules, but the collector starts at 5, fires every spin and then returns to its count from before the volley, so the bullets carry over.
Silver is the lowest coin, FS symbols cannot land, the round cannot be bought, and we did not see it. The 25,000x cap holds in every mode, and reaching it ends the round.
Bonus buys and FeatureSpins
BUY BONUS holds four cards priced from the bet, and the two bonus buys still stop at the gamble. High Noon Saloon costs 65x, labelled Medium volatility, and returns 96.33% if you never gamble, 96.20% if you always gamble once and 96.10% if twice. Trail of Trickery costs 250x, labelled High, at 96.33% without the gamble or 96.20% with it.
Both FeatureSpins cards say High, and each mode stays on until you press DISABLE. At 3x a spin, BonusHunt makes a bonus five times as likely, and one it brings returns 96.24% to 96.06%, by gamble choice. Wild West costs 75x a spin for at least two Wilds every time and no FS symbols, at 96.26%.
Bets run from $0.05 to $2,000 in the demo's rules, and buys can go higher; the review sites we checked stop at $40.
BonusHunt and Wild West switch on with orange ACTIVATE buttons; High Noon Saloon and Trail of Trickery are one-off buys. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.

Played on Hacksaw Gaming's official demo in US dollars, from the $5,000 demo balance, with every round matched to the game server's log. No bonus triggered naturally, so both rounds were bought, and CONTINUE was chosen at both Bonus Gamble screens. BonusHunt FeatureSpins: 10 spins at $3, $30.00 in, $3.80 back, no bonus. Wild West FeatureSpins: 10 spins at $75, $750.00 in, $369.00 back, every spin paid; without the $127.00 first spin the other nine returned $242.00. Trail of Trickery's $235.40 includes a $193.00 last spin. Totals from the spin log: $1,195.00 staked, $682.20 returned, in one session from $5,000.00 to $4,487.20. A sample this size cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.
Our session ran on Hacksaw Gaming's official demo, in US dollars from the $5,000 starting balance, and we matched every round to the game server's log. The 100 base spins at $1 brought 45 wins worth $38.60, and 32 of those were under $1. The longest dry run lasted 6 spins, and no free spins triggered.
The best base win, on spin 66, was a Revolver Reveal: a Wild in a winning cluster became a cylinder and shot a Bronze Coin showing 3 beside an x3 Green Clover, for $3.40. Only spin 64, at $3.20, came close, so no single spin carried the base total.
Next, ten BonusHunt FeatureSpins at $3 paid six small wins between $0.20 and $1.80, $3.80 in all, and no bonus came.
Ten Wild West FeatureSpins at $75 followed, and all ten paid, from $10.40 to $127.00, though the card promises Wilds, not wins. They returned $369.00 of $750.00. The $127.00 first spin was not captured and comes from the server log; the other nine paid $242.00, and only one, $75.80, covered its price.
Coins here still count in multiples of the $1 base bet, not the $75 price, as our settled spin 10 board shows: coins of 1 to 12, a Reload and an x4 Green Clover paid $41.60.
Wild West FeatureSpins spin 10 at $75, settled: coins counted on the $1 base bet, $41.60 for the spin. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
On the $65 High Noon Saloon buy we pressed CONTINUE at the gamble. Its ten spins paid mostly small clusters, with a Revolver Cylinder on one; the TOTAL WIN counter read $5.80 with four spins left, then $17.20 and $34.60, and the round ended at $35.40.
We did the same on the $250 Trail of Trickery buy. With five spins left the collector held 5 bullets and the round had paid $37.00; going into the last spin it held 12, with $42.40 won.
Trail of Trickery with five free spins left: the Bullet Collector at 5 bullets and $37.00 won so far. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
Smokey then fired all 12, and the board filled with Bronze and Silver Coins, an x5 Green Clover, an x3 Gold Clover and a Loot Bag that collected to 159. That spin paid $193.00, so the round's $235.40, a little under its price, is a single result: the first nine spins paid $42.40.
Back on the base screen after our $250 Trail of Trickery buy at $1: the last spin's Loot Bag at 159 and $235.40 for the round. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
Neither round retriggered, as both result screens read 10 free spins played. Mode by mode:
- Base game, 100 spins at $1: $100.00 in, $38.60 back
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins, 10 spins at $3: $30.00 in, $3.80 back
- Wild West FeatureSpins, 10 spins at $75: $750.00 in, $369.00 back
- High Noon Saloon buy at 65x: $65.00 in, $35.40 back
- Trail of Trickery buy at 250x: $250.00 in, $235.40 back
The whole test fitted in one demo session that took the balance from $5,000.00 to $4,487.20, and the server log sums it to $1,195.00 staked and $682.20 returned. The rules screen showed 96.28%. We never saw a natural bonus, the gamble played out or Pistols at Dawn, and a sample this size cannot pin down the RTP or the 3 out of 5 rating.
Is Le Cowboy worth trying?
The Revolver Reveal is the hook: the Wilds themselves set it off, a Reload can refill every cylinder, a second hit pushes a coin up a tier, and each Loot Bag sends the shot squares round again. Clovers reach x20, and the 25,000x cap is open in every mode.
Trail of Trickery gives its free spins a finale, since every win loads a bullet, but the collector pays out only once, on the last spin. High Noon Saloon costs about a quarter as much and has none; our $250 round returned $235.40 and our $65 one $35.40, one round each.
The base game asks a lot of the Wild: nothing is revealed unless one lands inside a winning cluster, and the smallest coin is 1x. Wild West FeatureSpins forces two Wilds onto every spin, but at 75x a spin, with the coins still paid on the base bet.
The gamble is a real trade: by the rules, the more often you gamble, the lower the RTP, for a shot at a bigger round or instant cash. The intro sign rates the volatility 3 out of 5 with no word label in the rules, while the buy cards say High or Medium. The review sites we checked also list RTP versions of 94.31%, 92.30% and 86.33%.
Le Bandit, the 2023 game that began the series, shares the 6x5 cluster grid, Super Cascades and a grid-wide collector, its Pot of Gold, by both games' rules. Le Cowboy fires its reveals from Wilds rather than a Rainbow over Golden Squares, starts its coins at 1x instead of 0.2x, adds Diamonds, a Reload, a Gold Clover and the gamble, and lifts the cap from 10,000x to 25,000x.
Le Fisherman, from February 2026, has the same Diamonds and both clovers at x2 to x20, but goes back to Golden Squares and Rainbows, with a 15,000x cap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play the Le Cowboy demo for free?+
Yes, on this page. It loads Hacksaw Gaming's own demo, which gives you $5,000 in play money with nothing to sign up for; our session started at a $2.00 bet. All four BUY BONUS cards work, and each bought round stops first at the Bonus Gamble, where CONTINUE starts the 10 free spins and GAMBLE fires for an upgrade or a cash prize.
Is Le Cowboy a Hacksaw Gaming slot?+
Yes. Le Cowboy is Hacksaw Gaming's 6x5 cluster-pays slot from November 2025, the Western in its Le series, with Smokey the raccoon from Le Bandit in the title role. Searches for the bare name also bring up a 1985 film, a Marvel character and a Matisse print, none of which this page is about.
How do Revolver Reveals work in Le Cowboy?+
A Wild that joins a winning cluster turns into a Revolver Cylinder with 2 to 6 shots. Once the cascades stop, it fires, and the squares it hits reveal coins worth 1x to 500x, clovers, Loot Bags or a Reload that refills the cylinders. Our best base spin was a reveal on spin 66: a coin beside an x3 Green Clover, $3.40 in all.
What does the Bonus Gamble do in Le Cowboy?+
It swaps the 10 free spins for a revolver shot. From High Noon Saloon it lands on an upgrade to Trail of Trickery or cash of 1x to 100x the bet; from Trail of Trickery, on Pistols at Dawn or cash of 5x to 500x. By the rules each extra gamble trims the RTP a little. We pressed CONTINUE on both buys, so we did not test it.
How much can you win on Le Cowboy?+
Up to 25,000x the bet, and the rules make that cap available in every game mode; a round that reaches it ends at once. Our demo's rules gave 96.28% RTP, and the review sites we checked also list 94.31%, 92.30% and 86.33% versions. Our biggest result was the $250 Trail of Trickery buy, which paid $235.40 at a $1 bet.
