Chests of Cai Shen - Infinity is Pragmatic Play's latest Chests of Cai Shen slot, out on 26 October 2026: a 5x3 game with 25 lines where coloured bonus coins fill four chests above the reels. Any collection can start the Chest Respin, a hold-and-win round with up to four modifiers, jackpots from 10x to 5,000x and a 15,000x cap. We played the Chests of Cai Shen Infinity slot demo for 100 spins at $1 and bought both features.

What is the Chests of Cai Shen Infinity slot?

The reels sit under a red temple roof by a misty lake, with four treasure chests lined up on top: green for Prosperity, blue for Fulfillment, red for Double and purple for Longevity. Below them run the four jackpot plaques, and the two buy buttons sit to the left.

Wins pay left to right on 25 fixed lines. At a $1 bet Cai Shen, the god of wealth, pays $3.20 for five and 16 cents for two, the bull $2, the rabbit, pig and snake $1.20, and the card ranks 80 cents to $1.20. A red wild with the fu character lands on reels 2 to 5 and stands in for everything except coins and money symbols.

The line pays are modest, as in most hold-and-win games; the coins and the respin are where the value sits.

Bets run from $0.25 to $250. The demo opened at $2, and we set it to $1 in the bet panel: 4 coins of 0.01 on 25 lines. There is no ante, special bet or gamble.

Bonus coins and the four chests

Five kinds of bonus coin land in the base game. Green, blue, red and purple coins go into their matching chest, and a Quad coin drops one into each. Every collection can trigger the Chest Respin at random, with the modifier of each chest that was hit, so one to four modifiers can be active at once.

The Chest Respin

The round clears the reels to money symbols and blanks. The coins that triggered it become money symbols, and three respins begin, resetting every time a new money symbol lands. Money symbols are worth 0.6x to 30x the bet, or carry the MINI at 10x, the MINOR at 20x or the MAJOR at 150x. Fill all 15 positions and the GRAND adds 5,000x.

The four modifiers

• Prosperity: up to three money values are upgraded after each respin
• Fulfillment: the grid is split into four zones with multipliers of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x or 100x, applied to a zone once it is filled
• Double: the round plays on two 5x3 grids at once
• Longevity: each respin count starts at 4 instead of 3

Fulfillment's multipliers only pay out when a whole zone fills, which matters for the buys.

The two buys

The 100x Fulfillment buy costs 200x the bet, $200 at $1, and guarantees at least one 100x zone. The 100x Quad buy costs 750x, $750, triggers all four modifiers and guarantees at least one 100x zone on each grid. Both run at the same RTP as normal play.

RTP, volatility and max win

The rules give 96.50% for normal play and for both buys; review sites also list 95.50% and 94.50% versions. The game is rated high volatility, and wins are capped at 15,000x the bet: a respin round that reaches it ends at once.

Our Chests of Cai Shen Infinity demo test

We played Pragmatic's public demo on 25 October with play money, from a $100,000 balance. Over the 100 base spins and both buys, the server log and the screen agree: $1,050.00 staked, $1,489.32 back.

The base game paid on 38 of the 100 spins, 20 of them under $1, and the longest losing run was 8 spins, 90 to 97. Coins of every colour landed often and the chests visibly filled, but most collections did not start the respin. Two did.

On spin 66 a Prosperity-only round paid $32.40, $33.84 with the trigger spin. On spin 75 three chests fired together, Prosperity, Fulfillment and Longevity, and the round paid $52.40 with a MINI coin among its money symbols.

Those two rounds are single results: without them the other 98 spins returned $48.48, the best $6.08 on spin 13. With them, the base game returned $134.72 on $100.

The two buys went opposite ways. The $200 Fulfillment buy set zones of 4x, 5x, 100x and 2x, but the 100x zone never filled, and the round paid $22.80. The $750 Quad buy played two grids with all four modifiers; one grid filled its 100x zone and turned ordinary coins into values of 160.00 and 320.00, for $50.40 and $1,281.40 on the two grids and $1,331.80 in all, 1.78x the price.

We never saw the Double modifier on its own, a MINOR, MAJOR or GRAND, or a full grid. One round per buy and two natural respins say nothing reliable about the RTP or the volatility.

Is Chests of Cai Shen Infinity worth trying?

Our view: the four chests make this one of the more interesting hold-and-win designs Pragmatic has built. Each modifier changes the round in a way you can see, and when several land together, as on our spin 75, a small respin turns into something bigger. The Quad buy shows the ceiling: two grids, upgrades, extra respins and a 100x zone on each.

The catch is the word guaranteed. A 100x zone is guaranteed, but it still has to be filled, and our $200 Fulfillment buy showed how a round can end with the big zone empty. The base game is thin between respins, and the trigger is random, so a session can collect a lot of coins without a round.

By both games' rules, Wolf Gold is the closest live comparison: the same 5x3 grid with 25 lines and a money respin that starts with three respins, resets on every new symbol and pays a top jackpot for all 15 positions, 1,000x there against 5,000x here. Wolf Gold triggers on six moons and has no modifiers; this game adds four of them and two buys.
