Eastern Fury

Eastern Fury is a Pragmatic Play slot styled like a neon gangster film, with a tattooed boss in a silk robe and pink sunglasses standing beside the reels holding two gold pistols. It launched on 27 August 2026 as a medium-volatility 5x5 game with 15 paylines, a 96.53% top RTP and a 10,000x cap. The whole game is built around one feature: expanding wilds with multipliers up to 100x that march across the reels from right to left. We played 100 spins of the Eastern Fury demo at $1, bought both free spins rounds and tried both Super Spin modes.

What is the Eastern Fury slot about?

The screen is framed like a camera recording, with a REC light in the corner, and the base game is set in a grimy back room with noodles, cash and a pistol on the table. Free spins move to a warehouse full of money and a boss's office with paintings on the walls. Win screens are comic-book panels with glitchy text, from NICE to SUPERB to SENSATIONAL.

The high pays are gang portraits. At a $1 bet, five of the red-jacket gangster pay $10, the grey-haired boss and the bald enforcer $5, and the man in glasses and the blue-haired woman $2.50. The low pays are neon zodiac animals: the dragon pays $1 for five, the tiger and snake $0.75, and the phoenix and rat $0.50. Wins pay left to right on 15 fixed lines. Pragmatic Play quotes a 23.75% hit rate, and 14 of our 100 spins paid something.

Expanding wilds and respins

In the base game, an expanding wild can land only on reel 5. It fills the whole reel and takes a random multiplier from 2x up to 100x. If the spin has no win, the wild stays, the game respins, and a second expanding wild lands on reel 4, then a third on reel 3. After that, the three wild reels stay and the game keeps respinning until any line wins. Multipliers on wild reels add together for every winning line that runs through them, so x12 and x50 make x62.

There is a catch built into that rule: the respins stop on the first win of any kind. A cheap line that misses the wild reels ends the sequence just as surely as a big one.

Free spins

Three, four or five scatters, crossed blue pistols, award 10, 15 or 20 free spins. In free spins the expanding wilds stay until the round ends. The first lands on reel 5, then reels 4, 3, 2 and 1 in order, so the wild reels and their multipliers keep piling up. There are no retriggers. If a gold super scatter is part of the trigger, the round becomes Super Free Spins, where every wild multiplier is between 10x and 100x.

Special bets and Super Spins

The Special Bets panel holds three options. The ante bet costs 5x the bet and makes free spins 11 times more likely. Super Spin 1 costs 20x and guarantees an expanding wild on reel 5 every spin, with the respin chain able to reach reel 2. Super Spin 2 costs 300x and does the same with multipliers of 10x to 100x. Neither Super Spin can trigger free spins. At the $240 top bet, a Super Spin 2 costs $72,000, which is the maximum the rules list.

Bonus buys

You can buy Free Spins for 100x the bet, with three to five scatters and a random chance of a super scatter, or Super Free Spins for 500x, with a super scatter guaranteed. Our Eastern Fury demo test

The base game was very dry. Our 100 spins returned $11.70, and 13 of the 14 wins paid $1 or less. The longest run without a win was 17 spins. The expanding wild came up once, on spin 31: it landed on reel 5 at x2 with no win, the game respun, and a second wild at x6 joined it on reel 4. That paid $6, more than half of everything the base game returned. Scatters were scarce too: two landed on four spins, and the only super scatter we saw came alone.

The buys showed how the game is meant to work. In both rounds the first spins paid little while the wild reels built up from the right, then the last few spins did the work. The $100 Free Spins paid $1.60 over its first six spins. From the sixth spin, wilds locked on reel 5 at x7, reel 4 at x2 and reel 3 at x12, and with x21 across three reels the ninth spin paid $52.50 and the tenth $21. It finished on $81.85.

The $500 Super Free Spins locked an x20 wild on reel 5 straight away, added x50 on reel 4 for a $70 spin, then x12 on reel 3. With three reels adding to x82, the last two spins paid $82 and $102.50, and the round finished on $274.60. Neither round reached a fourth wild reel. The two buys cost $600 and returned $356.45.

The Super Spins produced the biggest numbers, and the clearest lesson. Super Spin 1 at $20 a spin paid on all ten spins, but mostly small, and three times a cheap first line ended the chain at 10 to 15 cents: the ten returned $93.35 for $200. Super Spin 2 at $300 a spin opened with a $1,155 hit, when wild reels of x50, x12 and x15 made x77 and three lines paid $385 each, and later added $555. But x100 wilds did not guarantee anything. On one spin two x100 reels made x200 and still paid only $100, because the line under them was worth $0.50. On another, a lone x100 reel ended at $0.70 when two small lines missed it. The ten spins cost $3,000 and returned $2,273.45.

A few practical notes. While an expanding wild lands, its reel flashes through other values, sometimes including x100, before settling on the real multiplier. Picking a Super Spin changes the bet readout to the full $20 or $300 and labels the panel as active.

Is Eastern Fury worth trying?

It is if you like one strong feature done well. The marching wild reels are easy to follow and genuinely tense, especially in free spins where nothing ever leaves the screen, and multipliers up to 100x adding together give the game a high ceiling. The RTP stays between 96.46% and 96.54% across every option.

Go in knowing how unforgiving it can be. Our base game returned 11.7%, free spins hold most of their value until the last few spins, and the respin chain can end on a worthless line. Pragmatic Play's game sheet lists Eastern Fury as high volatility, but the game's own intro screen and rules say medium, and so do the review sites we checked.
