Sweet Bonanza 1000

Sweet Bonanza 1000 is Pragmatic Play's 2024 remake of its 2019 candy hit. The 6x5 pay-anywhere grid, the paytable and the tumbles are unchanged, but the free spins bombs now reach 1,000x, wins are capped at 25,000x the bet, and a 500x Super Free Spins buy sets every bomb at 20x or more. The demo's rules give a 96.53% RTP with a separate figure for each way of playing, under a medium volatility badge. We played the Sweet Bonanza 1000 demo for 100 spins at $1 and bought both rounds once.

What is the Sweet Bonanza 1000 slot about?

The scene is the same candy country as the original: pink cotton-candy clouds, swirl lollipops, a wafer cone and dripping icing around a grid with a red and white striped edge. A banner above the reels switches between "WIN UP TO 25,000X BET" and a reminder that four lollipops win free spins. On the left sit two buy buttons, the double chance panel and a box that lists each paying symbol of a tumble sequence.

The symbols and their prices match Sweet Bonanza exactly. Four sweets (red heart, purple square, green pentagon, blue oval) pay most and five fruits (apple, plum, watermelon, grapes, banana) least.

Eight or more of one kind anywhere on the screen pay, in bands of 8 or 9, 10 or 11, and 12 and up: at a $1 bet the heart gives $10, $25 or $50 and the banana $0.25, $0.75 or $2. There is no wild.

Wins tumble: paying symbols clear, the rest fall and fresh ones land, and the chain continues until a drop brings no new win. The sequence is paid in one go at the end.

Sweet Bonanza 1000 bonus features

Free spins and bombs up to 1,000x

Four or more lollipop scatters give 10 free spins and pay $3, $5 or $100 at $1 for four, five or six. Three or more during the round add 5 spins.

The rainbow bombs appear only in the round, each worth 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x or 1,000x. They stay while the tumbles run, and at the end their values are added and multiply the sequence's total. The next spin starts without them.

Two buys with their own RTP

Buy Free Spins costs 100x the bet and Buy Super Free Spins 500x; both guarantee four or more scatters on the bought spin. In the Super round every bomb carries at least 20x, so the small values from 2x to 15x are gone. The rules give normal play 96.53%, the 100x buy 96.52% and the Super buy 96.55%, the highest of the four figures, and Pragmatic Play's page shows the same 96.53%.

Double chance bet

Switching the panel on raises the bet multiplier from 20x to 25x, so $1 becomes $1.25. The chance of free spins arriving naturally doubles, both buys are switched off, and the RTP is 96.50%, the lowest of the four. We did not play with it.

Maximum win and bets

Wins stop at 25,000x the bet, $25,000 at $1, in the base game or in free spins, and a round that hits it ends there with its remaining spins forfeited. Bets run from $0.20 to $300 in the rules, above the $240 most review sites give. The intro screen and rules page show a MEDIUM VOLATILITY badge, where the sites rate the game high; we follow the game's volatility label.

What changed from Sweet Bonanza

We tested both games on the same day, so this compares their rules and our logs. The grid, the paytable, the scatter pays, the bet range and the 20x or 25x bet levels are the same.

The bombs gain a 1,000x value above the original's 100x top, the cap becomes a stated 25,000x where the original's rules give none and its banner says over 21,100x, and the 500x Super buy joins the 100x one.

The original's rules show a low volatility badge and an RTP range of 96.49% to 96.6%; this one says medium and lists an RTP per mode.

In our tests the original's 100 spins returned $71.65 from 48 wins and this one's $56.40 from 44, and the original's single $100 buy paid $115.65 against $61.85 here. Those are single samples and say nothing about which game pays more.

Our Sweet Bonanza 1000 demo test

We played 100 spins at $1 with the double chance bet off. They returned $56.40 from 44 winning spins, 26 of them under $1, and never went more than five spins without a win. The best was $6.20 on spin 98, taken from the server log because its settled board did not save; without it the other 99 spins returned $50.20.

Spin 40, the next best, shows how small base wins are built here. The win list holds four entries, 8 bananas for $0.25, 10 grapes for $0.90, 9 watermelons for $0.50 and 8 purple squares for $2.50, which add up to the $4.15 on the meter.

The $100 buy paid $5.25 on the bought spin and gave 10 free spins. A retrigger added 5 more, and the 15 spins ended at $61.85.

The $500 Super buy paid $3.25 on its bought spin. Its 10 spins had reached $61.75 after three, then added only a little, finishing at $74.25 with no retrigger.

How the $700.00 we staked came back:

The session returned $192.50 and ended at $99,492.50 from $100,000.00, as the server log records. We never saw a natural trigger or the double chance bet in action. One round per buy and 100 spins cannot test the RTP figures or the medium label.

Is Sweet Bonanza 1000 worth trying?

If you know the original, nothing here needs learning. The base game is the same plain pay-anywhere grid with no multipliers, and everything rides on the bombs in free spins. The 1,000x value and the 25,000x cap give a winning sequence far more room, while each bomb still counts only for its own spin.

The Super buy is the real addition. Taking away every bomb below 20x means any bomb that lands with a win multiplies it by 20 or more, and the rules give it the highest RTP of the four ways to play. It still costs 500x, and a round where bombs and wins rarely meet can return a fraction of that, as ours did.
