Gates of Olympus 2500 keeps the Zeus tumble-and-orbs formula and widens it: orbs up to 2,500x, a 25,000x cap and four bonus types, from the classic collect-on-win round to one that keeps every orb. Three antes, two Super Spins and four buys near 96.5% RTP give real choice, but an orb still pays nothing without a win under it, and in our test every buy returned less than its price.

Who it suits

Play this if…

  • You like multiplier orbs and want them big: values now run to 2,500x
  • You want to pick your bonus: four buys, from the classic round to Super Free Spins 2
  • You like extra ways to play: three antes and two Super Spins, all close to 96.5% RTP

Skip this if…

  • You dislike wasted multipliers: half our base-game orbs landed on spins with no win
  • You expect a dear buy to pay its way: all four of ours returned less than they cost
  • You want regular free spins: the average is one trigger in 443.16 spins

What is the Gates of Olympus 2500 slot about?

Zeus floats beside the reels in golden armour, lightning in one hand, in a sunlit temple of marble columns and torches, and "WIN UP TO 25,000X BET" runs across the top. Each bonus type has its own colour: blue for Free Spins 1, pink for Free Spins 2, green for Super Free Spins 1 and red for Super Free Spins 2.

The symbols are five gems, in green, blue, purple, red and yellow, plus a ring, a goblet, an hourglass and a crown. Eight or more of one symbol anywhere pay: eight or nine pay 0.25x to 10x the bet, and 12 or more pay 2x to 50x. Every win tumbles.

Pragmatic Play puts the hit rate at 27.93%, about one spin in 3.58, and free spins at one spin in 443.16 on average. Our base game paid on 32 of 100 spins.

Gates of Olympus 2500 bonus features

Multiplier orbs

Winged orbs carry a random multiplier: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x, 1,000x, 1,500x, 2,000x or 2,500x. They can land on any reel. When the tumbles end, every orb in view is added up and the whole sequence's win is multiplied by the sum, so an orb on a spin with no win does nothing.

Free spins and the four bonus types

Four or more scatters award 15 free spins and pay 3x, 5x or 100x the bet for four, five or six. The game then picks one of four bonus types at random, and a natural trigger can land any of them. Three or more scatters during the round add five spins.

Free Spins 1 keeps the classic rule: an orb joins the running total multiplier only if its spin wins. In Free Spins 2 every orb joins the total, win or not, and the total applies to every win. Super Free Spins 1 and 2 follow the same two rules, but no orb is worth less than 10x.

Special bets and Super Spins

Ante Bet 1 costs 1.25x the bet and doubles the free spins chance, Ante Bet 2 costs 2.75x for eight times the chance, and Ante Bet 3 costs 5.5x for eight times the chance plus better bonus types: Super Free Spins 1, Free Spins 2 or Super Free Spins 2. The antes all run at 96.49% RTP.

Super Spin 1 costs 20x and guarantees an orb on every spin. Super Spin 2 costs 250x and guarantees one worth at least 25x. Neither can trigger free spins, and both run at 96.50%.

Bonus buys

The four bonus buys go straight to a chosen type: Free Spins 1 for 100x, Free Spins 2 for 250x, Super Free Spins 1 for 500x and Super Free Spins 2 for 1,250x, all at 96.50% RTP against the base game's 96.52%.

Gates of Olympus 2500 Buy Feature menu at a $1 base bet: Free Spins 1 $100, Free Spins 2 $250, Super 1 $500 and Super 2 $1,250Four buys, from $100 to $1,250 at a $1 base bet. FluxPlays demo test, 15 October 2026.

What changed from earlier Gates of Olympus games

Gates of Olympus 2500 follows Gates of Olympus 1000. Its top orb rises to 2,500x, five times the original game's 500x, and its max win to 25,000x, while the four-way bonus pick and Free Spins 2's collect-every-orb rule are new. For a lighter take, Gates of Olympus POP fits the series onto a 3x5 portrait grid with orbs to 1,000x, POP prizes and no buys.

Played on the official demo with play money, one base spin at a time. We also played 10 spins each of Super Spin 1 ($200 in, $2,377.85 back) and Super Spin 2 ($2,500 in, $2,240 back). The three ante bets stayed off. The free spins total multipliers were read from the screen; every money figure comes from the server log. A session this size cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.

Our 100 base spins at $1 finished slightly ahead, returning $104.70 from 32 wins. Most were small: 14 paid under $1 and 16 paid $1 to $5. The longest dry run was 10 spins, from spin 67 to spin 76, and spin 67 brought three scatters, one short of the four needed.

Two orb spins made the session. On spin 11, five tumble steps paid $4.45 before a blue 10x orb multiplied the lot to $44.50. On spin 84 another 10x orb turned $2.00 into $20.00. Without those two, the other 98 spins returned $40.20. Orbs landed on six base spins, at 3x to 12x, but three came with no win and paid nothing.

Gates of Olympus 2500 settled board on spin 11 at a $1 bet: TUMBLE WIN $44.50 with a blue multiplier orb on reel 3 and the win listSpin 11 of 100 at $1: $4.45 of tumbles times a 10x orb, $44.50. FluxPlays demo test, 15 October 2026.

All four buys landed exactly four scatters, paid $3.00 for them and gave 15 free spins with no retrigger. The $100 Free Spins 1 only collected orbs on winning spins, its total reached 7x, and it paid $15.75. The $250 Free Spins 2 collected every orb, climbed to a 34x total and paid $79.95.

The two Super rounds made most of their money on the last spin. Super Free Spins 1 ($500) sat at $35.30 before a final sequence at a 30x total paid $283.25, for $318.30. Super Free Spins 2 ($1,250) built its total from 20x to 35x, then hit 81x on the last spin for $441.45, ending on $640.05. The four buys cost $2,100 and returned $1,054.05.

The Super Spins produced the biggest win of the test. Super Spin 1 at $20 landed an orb every time, and on spin 8 orbs of 6x, 250x and 6x added up to 262x on $8.85 of tumbles: $2,318.70. The other nine returned $59.15. Super Spin 2 at $250 paid nothing on five of ten spins, but one 1,000x orb on a $2.00 win paid $2,000, and the ten returned $2,240.

Gates of Olympus 2500 Super Spin 1 at a $20 bet, settled: TUMBLE WIN $2,318.70 with green and red multiplier orbs on the gridSuper Spin 1, spin 8 at $20: three orbs adding up to 262x, $2,318.70. FluxPlays demo test, 15 October 2026.

We never saw a natural trigger or the random pick of bonus type, a retrigger, an orb above 1,000x or any of the antes. One run of each buy and ten spins of each Super Spin say nothing reliable about the 96.52% RTP or the volatility.

Is Gates of Olympus 2500 worth trying?

Its strength is choice. The four bonus types run from the classic collect-on-win round to Free Spins 2's collect-everything rule, orbs reach 2,500x, and three antes, two Super Spins and four buys all sit at 96.49% or 96.50% RTP. One well-placed orb can make a session, as our 262x Super Spin showed.

The catch is built into the orbs: one is worth nothing without a win under it, and free spins come once every 443.16 spins on average. The dearer buys raise the floor on orb values and collect more of them, but they cannot promise a return, and in our test all four paid back less than they cost.

The game, Pragmatic Play and every review site we checked agree that it is high volatility. In our session that showed as a base game carried by two orb spins and Super Spins made by single hits.

If you like the orb-and-total idea with a twist, Death Dominion is a 6x5 pay-anywhere game we have tested where a Doom symbol can wipe the multipliers or add more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play the Gates of Olympus 2500 demo for free?+

Yes. This page runs Pragmatic Play's official Gates of Olympus 2500 demo with play money, so no account is needed. It opens at a $2.00 bet, all four buys and all five special bets work, and after a buy a Rebuy button with the same price appears under Buy Feature. Every figure in our test comes from this demo.

What is the RTP of Gates of Olympus 2500?+

96.52% for the base game in its standard version, with 95.50% and 94.50% versions also available to casinos. The demo's rules list 96.49% for the three ante bets and 96.50% for both Super Spins and all four buys.

How is Gates of Olympus 2500 different from Gates of Olympus 1000?+

Its orbs go up to 2,500x and its max win to 25,000x. A natural trigger now picks one of four bonus types, including Free Spins 2, where every orb adds to the total multiplier whether the spin wins or not. It also carries five special bets and four buys.

What is the difference between Free Spins 1 and Free Spins 2?+

In Free Spins 1 an orb only joins the total multiplier if its spin wins. In Free Spins 2 every orb that lands joins the total, win or lose. The Super versions follow the same rules with a minimum orb of 10x. In our test the Free Spins 2 total reached 34x, against 7x in Free Spins 1.

What is the max win in Gates of Olympus 2500?+

25,000x the bet, which is $25,000 at a $1 bet. Our best single result was $2,318.70 from one $20 Super Spin 1 spin, where three orbs added up to 262x on a small tumble win.
