Death Dominion takes Pragmatic Play's familiar pay-anywhere and multiplier formula and adds a genuine twist: the Doom symbol, which can wipe every multiplier or add more. The four free spins variants are clearly different, every option sits around 96.5% RTP and the ceiling is very high, but in our test the results came in a few huge spikes, and price said nothing about how a buy would go.

Death Dominion: Full Review

Death Dominion is a Pragmatic Play slot set in a misty graveyard, where a hooded reaper with a scythe watches over a 6x5 grid. It launched on 30 July 2026 as a medium-volatility pay-anywhere game with tumbles, multiplier symbols, a 96.54% top RTP and a 20,000x cap. Its twist is the Doom symbol, which can either wipe out every multiplier in view or become one. We played 100 spins of the Death Dominion demo at $1, bought all four free spins rounds and tried both Super Spin modes.

What is the Death Dominion slot about?

Death is the theme, start to finish. The base game is a moonlit cemetery with blood-spattered gravestones and leaning trees, and the reaper stands beside the reels. Each free spins round has its own colour: blue for the standard round, red for Dominion, green for Immortal and purple for Dominion Immortal. Rounds open on a stone gate reading "The Judgment Begins!", and the win celebrations are named AWAKEN, TAKEN, SEIZED and DOMINION.

The symbols are bells, crowns, candles, bottles, crosses, crows, hourglasses, gravestones and skeletal horses. Eight or more of the same symbol anywhere on the grid pay, from 0.25x to 10x the bet for eight or nine, up to 2x to 50x for twelve or more. Every win tumbles: the winning symbols vanish and new ones drop in. Pragmatic Play quotes a 25.51% hit rate. Our session was much quieter than that: 20 of 100 spins paid, and one dry run lasted 20 spins.

Death Dominion bonus features

Multipliers and the Doom symbol

Multiplier symbols, glass lanterns with a skull inside, land with values from 2x to 100x in the base game. When the tumbles stop, every multiplier in view is added up and applied to the total win, but only if there is a win to multiply.

The Doom symbol, a skull in a red-and-blue swirl, also resolves when the tumbles stop. It does one of two things at random: it removes every multiplier on the screen, or it turns into a multiplier itself. That coin flip is the heart of the game.

Free spins

Four, five or six scatters award 12, 15 or 20 free spins, and three or more during the round add five more. In free spins, multipliers can reach 1,000x, and every one that lands is added to a running total shown on the left. That total then multiplies every later winning tumble. The catch is that a Doom symbol in the standard round can wipe the whole total, not just what is on screen.

Two special scatters change the round. A Dominion Scatter in the trigger gives Dominion Free Spins, where a Doom that turns into a multiplier also adds up to four more, but can still wipe everything. An Immortal Scatter gives Immortal Free Spins, where Doom always becomes a multiplier. Both together give Dominion Immortal Free Spins: Doom always becomes a multiplier and adds up to four more.

Special bets and Super Spins

The Special Bets panel has four options. Ante Bet 1 costs 2x the bet for five times the chance of free spins, and Ante Bet 2 costs 10x for six times the chance and a much better chance of the Dominion Immortal round. Super Spin 1 costs 15x and guarantees a Doom symbol and at least one multiplier on every spin. Super Spin 2 costs 250x and guarantees a multiplier of at least 50x on every spin. Free spins cannot trigger during either Super Spin. The rules list RTPs from 96.51% to 96.54% across the four.

Bonus buys

You can buy any of the four rounds directly: Free Spins for 100x, Dominion Free Spins for 200x, Immortal Free Spins for 300x and Dominion Immortal Free Spins for 750x. The rules list 96.51%, 96.55%, 96.56% and 96.50% RTP for them. Our guide to bonus buy slots explains what that price covers.

Played on the official demo with play money. We also played 10 spins each of Super Spin 1 ($150 in, $86.25 back) and Super Spin 2 ($2,500 in, $2,999 back). 100 spins is a small sample: it shows how a session can feel, not the game's long-run RTP or volatility.

Our base game ended well ahead, but only because of two spins. On spin 47, four scatters started 12 free spins. The total multiplier climbed to x11, was wiped to zero by a Doom symbol on the seventh spin, then rebuilt to x26, and the round paid $87.20. On spin 62, two x2 lanterns made x4 and turned $16.20 of tumble wins into $64.80. Those two spins made $152 of the $223.60 we got back. The other 98 spins were quiet: 80 of the 100 paid nothing, and lanterns landed on four more spins with no win to multiply.

The buys all followed one pattern: most spins did little, then one or two tumbles made the result. The $100 Free Spins sat near $26 until the ninth spin, when a tumble at x14 lifted it to $129.75, and it finished on $130.75. A Doom symbol on the last spin wiped a x16 total, though by then that was the only spin left. The $200 Dominion round never went above x9 and made most of its $158.20 on one tumble near the end.

The two dearer rounds went the other way. The $300 Immortal Free Spins stayed at x2 for most of the round and was on $12.15 going into the last spin, which jumped to x32 and paid $80.35, for $92.50 in total. The $750 Dominion Immortal round built slowly, then on its last spin the Doom symbol fired lightning that added four more multipliers and took the total to x56. The wins underneath were small, and it paid $30.70. Across the four buys we spent $1,350 and got $412.15 back.

The Super Spins were the most dramatic part of the test. Super Spin 1 at $15 a spin landed multipliers every time, but six of our ten spins had no win for them to work on, and the ten returned $86.25 for $150. Super Spin 2 at $250 a spin also had six spins that paid nothing. The other four included two huge hits: $9.40 of tumble wins times two x100 lanterns for $1,880, and a x180 spin for $999. The ten cost $2,500 and returned $2,999, with those two spins making 96% of it.

Death Dominion DOMINION win screen: the screaming reaper with flaming hands over yellow ghost flames, counting up during the Free Spins buyThe top win celebration: DOMINION. FluxPlays demo test, 15 October 2026.

Two practical notes. Picking a Super Spin changes the bet readout to the full price, $15 or $250 at a $1 base bet, so it is hard to miss.

Is Death Dominion worth trying?

It is if you like Pragmatic Play's pay-anywhere multiplier games and want a twist on them. The Doom symbol adds real tension to every tumble, the four free spins variants are clearly different from one another, and every option we checked sits between 96.50% and 96.56% RTP. Multipliers up to 1,000x in free spins and a 20,000x cap give it a very high ceiling.

The Doom symbol cuts both ways, though. We saw it wipe a x11 total in our natural free spins and a x16 total at the end of our $100 buy, and in the base game a multiplier is wasted on any spin without a win. Our results were lopsided in every mode: a base game that finished well ahead on two spins, buys where price had nothing to do with the result, and a Super Spin 2 session made by two hits. Death Dominion is listed as medium volatility by the game and every source we checked, but the special bets and buys swing far harder than that.

96.54% in its standard version, with 95.52% and 94.52% versions that some casinos run instead. In the version we played, the rules list 96.50% to 96.56% for the four bonus buys and 96.51% to 96.54% for the ante bets and Super Spins.

How many free spins can you win in Death Dominion?+

Four, five or six scatters award 12, 15 or 20 free spins, and three or more scatters during the round add five more. Our natural trigger came from four scatters on spin 47.
