Chilli Heat

Chilli Heat is a Pragmatic Play fiesta slot from January 2018, the original game rather than its Megaways or Spicy Spins follow-ups. It runs 25 lines on 5x3 reels, with money bags that start a Money Respin on six or more and three fixed jackpots on top: Mini, Major and a Grande for filling the screen. Three suns add 8 free spins without the letters. Our test is 100 logged spins of the Chilli Heat slot demo at $1, the whole session, as there is nothing to buy.

What is the Chilli Heat slot about?

The reels sit in a sunny Mexican street, between red and orange houses, cacti in pots and strings of chillies. Above them three panels show the jackpots, which move with the bet: at $1 the GRANDE reads $1,000.00, the MAJOR $100.00 and the MINI $30.00.

Wins pay left to right on 25 lines, with only the best win per line. At a $1 bet five mariachis pay $8, five chihuahuas $6, five hot sauce bottles $5 and five tequilas $4. A, K, Q and J pay $2 for five, and three of any symbol pay $0.20, except the mariachi at $0.40.

The wild is the flaming CHILLI HEAT logo. It replaces every symbol except the sun scatter and the money bag, and in our session it could cover a whole reel.

Spin 21 of 100 at $1: five tequilas with a wild on line 10 paid $4.00. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Chilli Heat bonus features

Money bags and the Money Respin

Every reel can show money bags, and each one carries a value: 1x to 8x, then 10x, 14x, 16x, 18x, 20x, 24x, 30x or 100x the bet, or the MINI or MAJOR jackpot. The rules give them no line pay. Six or more in one spin start the Money Respin once the line wins are paid.

Then only the bags stay, and the reels switch to bags and blanks. You get 3 respins, and every respin that lands at least one new bag resets the count to 3. When the respins run out, or all 15 positions are full, the values on screen are added up and paid, and a full screen adds the GRANDE as well. The respin can also start inside free spins.

The rules: bags of 1x to 100x or a jackpot, six start the Money Respin, and 15 add the GRANDE. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Sun scatters and free spins

The sun with a moustache lands only on reels 2, 3 and 4. Three pay 1x the bet and award 8 free spins, played on special reels from which A, K, Q and J are gone: only the wild, money bags, the four pictures and the sun remain. Three more suns add 8 spins each time, with no limit.

The rules: three suns pay 1x and give 8 free spins, the letters leave the reels, and retriggers have no limit. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

RTP, bets and what the rules leave out

The rules give a 96.5% RTP, bets from $0.25 to $250 and a LOW VOLATILITY badge, where the review sites we read list a $125 top bet and medium volatility. There is no buy, no ante and no bet mode. The rules state no maximum win beyond the jackpots, so we give none; the 1,000x GRANDE is the largest fixed prize.

Two relatives we have tested

The Money Respin is the one in Wolf Gold, by both games' rules: the same 16 bag values plus Mini and Major, six to start, 3 respins that reset, and a top jackpot for 15 positions, with the same $30, $100 and $1,000 at $1.

Wolf Gold's free spins differ: 5 spins with one giant symbol across reels 2 to 4, from scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5. Its RTP is 96%.

Mustang Gold shares the other half. Its rules have the same 25 lines, low badge and $0.25 to $250 bets, and three scatters on reels 2 to 4 that pay 1x for 8 free spins with endless retriggers. Its money, though, comes from a sheriff star on reel 5 that collects horseshoes, and jackpot horseshoes open a pick game for four jackpots.

Our Chilli Heat demo test

The demo opened at a $2.00 bet; four presses of the minus button in the settings menu took it to $1.00, and the jackpot panels fell with it to $1,000, $100 and $30. Spins 2 to 100 were each started by a script clicking spin, with no autoplay.

The base game paid often and small. 44 of the 100 spins won, 33 of them less than the bet, and the longest losing run was 10 spins, from 55 to 64.

Free spins came early, on spin 6. The three suns paid $1.00, most of the 8 spins paid little, and the last one paid $15.00, so the round reached $18.60 with no retrigger.

Spin 23 was the best. Wilds filled reels 2 and 3 completely, so every one of the 25 lines paid, two of them with five mariachis at $8.00 each: $23.40, 23.4 times the bet.

Spin 23 of 100 at $1: wilds on reels 2 and 3 made all 25 lines pay, $23.40 in all. FluxPlays demo test, 19 October 2026.

Two later spins reached $6.20 and $5.60. In all the 100 spins returned $78.00. Without spin 23 the rest returned $54.60, and without spin 6's free spins as well, $36.00.

Money bags appeared in both the base game and free spins, but six never landed together. So we never saw the Money Respin, any of the three jackpots or a free spins retrigger; everything about them here comes from the rules.

With no buy or mode to test, the session was the 100 spins alone: $100.00 staked, $78.00 returned, and a final server balance of $99,978.00, matching our log. A hundred spins cannot confirm a 96.5% RTP or the low badge.

Is Chilli Heat worth trying?

It is a simple, steady game by its rules. The low badge and 25 lines point to frequent small wins, and the free spins strip out the letters, so their line wins come from the pictures and the wild. The Money Respin gives the session its peaks: bags of up to 100x, two jackpots on the bags and the 1,000x GRANDE for a full screen.

The other side is that the big moments depend on six bags landing at once, which never happened in our 100 spins. Free spins pay their 1x on the trigger and then rely on picture wins. There is no buy to reach the features, and Wolf Gold offers the same respin round.
