Our verdict
Wicked Grin pairs an All-Scatter tumble base game that keeps moving with Wicked Grins that turn a reel into coins up to 500x, and FS symbols that climb their reel to set the spin count. Stash N Stack grows a reel's multiplier every time it grins; Coin Craze banks coins above the reels and pays them all at the end. Both bonuses swing hard, and the cap is a modest 10,000x.

Skip this if…
- You want each bonus spin to show its pay: Coin Craze holds the coins to the end

Wicked Grin: Full Review
Wicked Grin is a Hacksaw Gaming slot from 8 October 2026, starring Boney Bill, a grinning cartoon skeleton in red shorts. Its black-and-white 5x5 grid pays anywhere for six or more matching symbols and tumbles after every win. A Wicked Grin on the bottom row turns its whole reel into coins and multipliers, and FS symbols spread up their reel to set the number of free spins. Our Wicked Grin demo test covered 100 base spins, both modes and both buys.

What is the Wicked Grin slot about?
It looks like an old fruit machine drawn as a rubber-hose cartoon. The grid is grey and black with card suits, grapes, watermelons, bells, cherries and blue 7s, set against rings of shadow, while Boney Bill points and grins on the left. Both bonuses move to a checkerboard floor under red theatre curtains.
Wins are All-Scatter: six or more of a symbol anywhere on the grid pay, the winners vanish, and new symbols drop in until nothing more connects. At a $1 bet, the four card suits pay $0.10 for six or seven and $25 for 17 or more. Grapes and watermelons pay $0.20 to $50, the bell $0.30 to $60, cherries $0.40 to $75 and the blue 7 $0.50 to $100.
Base spin 21 at $1, settled: a Wicked Grin turned reel 3 into coins of 1x, 1x, 2x, 5x and 1x for $11.10. FluxPlays demo test, 25 October 2026.
Wicked Grin bonus features
Expanding Wicked Grin coins
A Wicked Grin that lands on the bottom row waits until the tumbles finish, then expands and turns every symbol on its reel into Coins or a Multiplier. Coins pay their value times the bet:
- Bronze: 1x to 4x
- Silver: 5x to 9x
- Gold: 10x to 50x
- Diamond: 100x, 150x, 250x or 500x
Multipliers of x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x20 add their value to the Coins above them on their own reel and on the neighbouring reels; they never sit on the top row. The rarer Epic Wicked Grin makes every Wicked Grin on the grid expand at once. Only one kind of Wicked Grin can land on a reel at a time.
Spreading FS symbols
When an FS or Super FS scatter sits on the bottom row after the wins, it climbs its whole reel, and every square it covers shows 1, 2 or 3. The numbers add up to the free spins awarded. An FS starts Stash N Stack and a Super FS starts Coin Craze; the two never share the grid, and neither lands with a Wicked Grin.
Our $80 Stash N Stack buy: the FS symbol climbs reel 2 as a column of five FS coins to set the free spin count. FluxPlays demo test, 26 October 2026.
Stash N Stack
The FS bonus gives 5 to 30 free spins. Each reel has a Stash Multiplier starting at x1. When a Wicked Grin expands, that reel's Coins are multiplied by its Stash, which then rises by one for the next spin, so a reel that keeps grinning keeps getting stronger. Each further spreading FS adds 5 to 15 spins.
Stash N Stack from BonusHunt spin 5, free spin 4: a x4 lifted coins to gold and a diamond for a SUPER MEGA WIN of $156.70. FluxPlays demo test, 26 October 2026.
Coin Craze
The Super FS bonus gives 5 to 30 free spins and holds its coins back. A Coin Collector above each reel starts at 1 and banks the Coin values of every expansion on that reel, and Multipliers in an expansion also multiply what is banked on their reel and the reels beside it.
Nothing from the coins pays until the end, when the collectors are added together and paid. Further Super FS symbols add 5 to 15 spins.
Coin Craze from our $200 buy: Coin Collectors at 253x, 38x, 2x, 26x and 1x after one big coin spin, with three spins left. FluxPlays demo test, 26 October 2026.
Bonus buys and FeatureSpins
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins: 3x per spin for five times the bonus odds; 96.39%, Very high
- Grinny FeatureSpins: 50x a spin, at least one kind of Wicked Grin every spin and no FS symbols; 96.23%, High
- Stash N Stack: 80x; 96.26%, High
- Coin Craze: 200x; 96.28%, High
The two FeatureSpins modes stay on until you press DISABLE; the two bonus buys go straight to the bonus. The 10,000x cap holds in every mode. Bets in the demo go from $0.10 up to $2,000, and a buy may cost more than that; review sites quote $100 as the maximum.
The buy menu at a $1 bet: BonusHunt and Grinny FeatureSpins, then the Stash N Stack and Coin Craze buys. FluxPlays demo test, 25 October 2026.

Played on Hacksaw Gaming's official demo in US dollars, with every round checked against the game server's log, in two sessions: base spins 1 to 89 ($5,000.00 to $5,061.30), then, after the session timed out during a long pause with no stake taken, a fresh $5,000.00 session for spins 90 to 100, the buys and the modes (to $5,189.60); both match the screen. BonusHunt FeatureSpins: 10 spins at $3, $30.00 in, $265.40 back, including a $261.50 Stash N Stack. Grinny FeatureSpins: 10 spins at $50, $500.00 in, $337.90 back, every spin paid. Totals from the spin log across both sessions: $910.00 staked, $1,160.90 returned. A sample this size cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.
We used Hacksaw Gaming's official demo in US dollars and checked every round against the game server's log. It ran in two sessions: base spins 1 to 89 went from $5,000.00 to $5,061.30, then a long pause timed the session out ("Session timeout!", with no stake taken), and a fresh $5,000.00 session played spins 90 to 100, the buys and the modes, ending at $5,189.60. Both match the screen.
The 100 base spins at $1 returned $150.70 from 54 wins, more than they cost. One round did most of that: on spin 89 an FS scatter climbed its reel for 9 free spins of Stash N Stack, and the round paid $87.40, $51.80 of it on the last spin. Without it, the other 99 spins returned $63.30.
Most base wins were small tumbles, and 35 of the 54 paid under $1. Wicked Grins expanded twice, for $7.20 on spin 4 and $11.10 on spin 21, and the longest dry run lasted only 5 spins.
BonusHunt at $3 a spin was the surprise of the session. Spin 5 started Stash N Stack with 7 free spins, and the stashes climbed fast: free spin 2 paid $72.80 with x2 stashes, and free spin 4 paid $156.70 when a x4 multiplier lifted the coins above it to gold and a diamond. That bonus paid $261.50, and the ten spins returned $265.40 from $30.00.
Grinny at $50 a spin paid every time, from $8.30 to $102.60, but only two spins beat the price, and it returned $337.90 from $500.00.
Grinny FeatureSpins spin 10 at $50, settled: reel 3 turned into gold 10x coins, a x5 multiplier and bronze coins, $24.40. FluxPlays demo test, 26 October 2026.
The $80 Stash N Stack buy spread its FS for 7 spins and paid only $24.50; no reel built up a big stash.
The $200 Coin Craze buy got 9 spins. The tumbles paid only $7.40 across the round, but on one spin three Wicked Grins on the bottom row expanded together with a multiplier, and the collectors jumped to 253x, 38x, 2x, 26x and 1x. At the end they paid $375.00, and the round came to $382.40. The closing EPIC WIN banner read $375.50 because it also adds the last spin's $0.50.
Each buy is a single round. Mode by mode:
- Base game, 100 spins at $1: $100.00 in, $150.70 back ($63.30 without the natural bonus)
- BonusHunt FeatureSpins, 10 spins at $3: $30.00 in, $265.40 back (one bonus)
- Grinny FeatureSpins, 10 spins at $50: $500.00 in, $337.90 back
- Stash N Stack buy at 80x: $80.00 in, $24.50 back
- Coin Craze buy at 200x: $200.00 in, $382.40 back
The rules screen showed 96.27%. We never saw an Epic Wicked Grin or a natural Coin Craze, and 100 spins cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.
Is Wicked Grin worth trying?
Our view: Wicked Grin is one of the more likeable recent Hacksaw games. The base game actually moves, with tumbles on most spins and a coin reel now and then, and the two bonuses each have one clear idea. In Stash N Stack the reel multipliers grow every time a reel grins, and in Coin Craze the reels bank coins until a single payout at the end.
Stash N Stack can swing hard either way. When the same reels keep expanding, the stashes climb and spins like our $156.70 arrive; when they do not, you get our bought round, $24.50 from 80x. Coin Craze asks for patience, since it shows almost nothing until the collectors pay, but one good multiplier spin can carry it, as ours did.
The volatility is a fair middle, 3 out of 5 on Hacksaw's own scale, and the 10,000x cap is modest. Our demo ran 96.27%, the highest of Hacksaw's four versions; the others are 94.32%, 92.28% and 86.28%.
Chaos Crew 3 builds its lives bonuses the same way as Coin Craze, by both games' rules: values bank above the reels and are added up only when the round ends. Le Bandit also turns squares into Bronze, Silver and Gold coins after tumbling wins, but needs a Rainbow to reveal them and takes its Gold to 500x without Diamonds.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play the Wicked Grin demo for free?+
Yes, on this page, in Hacksaw Gaming's own demo of the slot, with $5,000 of play money and a $2.00 opening bet. All four buy cards work. BonusHunt FeatureSpins is cheap at 3x a spin and makes a bonus five times as likely; in our test it found a Stash N Stack within five spins.
How do the Wicked Grin coins work?+
A Wicked Grin on the bottom row expands after the tumbles and turns its whole reel into coins (Bronze 1x to Diamond 500x) or a multiplier that adds to the coins above it and beside it. An Epic Wicked Grin makes every Wicked Grin on the grid expand. Our best plain base spin, $11.10, was one coin reel.
Which is better, Stash N Stack or Coin Craze?+
Stash N Stack, 80x to buy, pays coins as they land and raises a reel's multiplier each time it grins. Coin Craze, 200x, banks every coin above the reels and pays the total at the end. The rules give 96.26% and 96.28%. Ours paid $24.50 when bought and $382.40 respectively, one round each.
What is the max win and RTP of Wicked Grin?+
10,000x the bet, in every mode. Hacksaw lists RTP versions of 96.27%, 94.32%, 92.28% and 86.28%, and our demo ran 96.27%; BonusHunt FeatureSpins runs at 96.39%. Hacksaw rates the volatility 3 out of 5.
