Our verdict
Wonders of Aztec puts its multipliers in a row above a 6x5 pay-anywhere grid, where bombs set 2x and then double, the row stays for whole free spins rounds, and Super Spin 2 starts bombs anywhere up to 1,024x. The idea is clear and every option sits near 96.5% RTP, but a multiplier pays nothing without a symbol win under it, and wins need eight of a kind.
Who it suits
Play this if…
- You like multipliers that build in place: bombs double the value above their reel
- You want options: two buys, an ante and two Super Spins, all near 96.5% RTP
- You like a bonus that starts primed: Super Free Spins open with bombs on the grid
Skip this if…
- You hate seeing a big multiplier wasted: without a symbol win it pays nothing
- You want frequent wins: every win needs 8 matching symbols
- You want a pricey mode to be safe: Super Spin 2 costs 300x a spin and still needs a symbol win to pay

Wonders of Aztec: Full Review
Wonders of Aztec is a Pragmatic Play slot, released on 15 October 2026, that puts a 6x5 pay-anywhere grid of masks and gems under a row of reel multipliers. Gold sun bombs set or double multipliers above the reels, and the row's total multiplies the spin's win, if there is one. The rules call it medium volatility; the top RTP is 96.55% and the cap 10,000x. Our test of the Wonders of Aztec demo ran 100 base spins at $1, both buys and ten spins of each Super Spin.

What is the Wonders of Aztec slot about?
The grid sits in a carved stone frame in a jungle temple, beside a waterfall, with an Aztec warrior woman in a feathered headdress leaning on her spear to the right. Above the reels runs a row of six stone slots, empty until a bomb fills one with a multiplier. Free spins move the scene to night.
Wins pay anywhere: 8 or more of a symbol on the grid pay, in bands of 8 to 9, 10 to 11 and 12 or more. At a $1 bet the red jaguar mask pays $10, $25 or $100, ahead of the purple, green and blue masks. The five gems range from $0.60 to $6 for the red hexagon down to $0.20 to $2 for the blue diamond.
There is no wild, and every win tumbles until no new one forms. Pragmatic Play's numbers put a win on 25.97% of spins, one in 3.85, and free spins on one spin in 408.50. In our test 27 of 100 base spins paid.
Before our first spin at $1: the 6x5 grid with its empty row of multiplier slots above. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
Wonders of Aztec bonus features
Bomb and Super Bomb multipliers
Bombs are gold sun symbols that can land on any reel, in any spin or tumble. If the spin has a win, a Bomb puts 2x in the slot above its reel or doubles the multiplier already there, up to 128x, and a Super Bomb does the same for every reel at once. When the tumbles end, the row is added up and multiplies the total win.
The condition matters more than anything else in the game: a bomb that lands on a spin with no win does nothing at all.
Free spins and Super Free Spins
Four, five or six scatters pay 3x, 5x or 100x the bet and award 10, 20 or 30 free spins. If one of them is a Super Scatter, the round is Super Free Spins instead, with the same spin counts, and it opens with a random number of bombs already on the grid. Super Scatters do not appear in free spins.
In both rounds the reel multipliers stay up until the round ends, but they only count on a spin where a bomb lands. Four or more scatters during the round add 5 spins. A round that reaches 10,000x the bet ends at once.
Super Spins, ante and buys
Super Spin 1 costs 10x the bet and guarantees a bomb on every spin. Super Spin 2 costs 300x and also guarantees one, but its first bomb starts at a random 2x to 1,024x, the first Super Bomb puts that value on every reel, and later bombs double values up to 1,024x. Neither can trigger free spins.
One review site caps the reels at 128x in every mode, but the rules lift that to 1,024x in Super Spin 2.
The rules: Super Spin 2 starts bombs at 2x to 1,024x and lets them double up to 1,024x. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
The ante bet, which we did not test, costs 5x the bet for 16 times the free spins chance. The bonus buys cost 100x for free spins and 500x for Super Free Spins, with 4 to 6 scatters landing on the buy spin. RTPs range from 96.49% to 96.55% across every option.

Played on the official demo with play money, one spin at a time and without autoplay. Free spins never triggered naturally, so both rounds were bought. Super Spin 1: 10 spins at $10, $100.00 in, $102.80 back. Super Spin 2: 10 spins at $300, $3,000.00 in, $736.00 back; 1,024x and 256x multipliers landed on spins with no symbol win and paid nothing. Spin 10's $33.00 was a single result. The ante was not played, per our protocol. Totals from the spin log: $3,800.00 staked, $1,014.10 returned.
We played 100 base spins at $1, one spin at a time and without autoplay, and got $77.80 back from 27 wins: ten under $1, 14 from $1 to $5 and three above. The longest dry run was 9 spins, from spin 58 to 66. Free spins, which need four scatters, never triggered.
Bombs lifted three base wins: x6 on spin 25 for $3.60, x2 on spin 96 for $7.00, and the best of the session on spin 10. On three other spins bombs landed without a win and paid nothing.
Spin 10 tumbled four times for $2.75. Meanwhile two bombs on reel 3 built 4X and three on reel 6 built 8X, so the $2.75 was multiplied by 12 for $33.00. It was a single result; the other 99 spins returned $44.80.
Spin 10 of 100 at $1: $2.75 of tumbles times 4X plus 8X, $33.00. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
The $100 buy landed four scatters, which paid $3.00, for 10 free spins. The row built to 2X on reels 2, 3 and 4 and 4X on reel 6, and four more scatters on free spin 9 added 5 spins. The 15 spins paid $33.70, so the buy returned $36.70.
The $500 Super Free Spins opened with seven bombs on an empty grid, putting 4X, 8X, 2X and 2X above reels 1, 2, 3 and 5. By the end the row read 32X, 64X, 8X, 2X, 8X and 4X, and most of the money came on the last spin, which took the round from $25.70 to $60.80 in one tumble sequence.
Our $500 Super Free Spins opened with seven bombs and 4X, 8X, 2X and 2X above the reels. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
The same round settled: 32X, 64X, 8X, 2X, 8X and 4X, and $60.80 in all. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
Ten Super Spin 1 spins at $10 paid on five, from $0.80 to $41.60, and returned $102.80. Ten Super Spin 2 spins at $300 paid on three, $316.80, $288.00 and $131.20, and returned $736.00. On the others, a 1,024x and a 256x on reel 5, and 32x to 64x on every reel, landed on spins with no symbol win and paid nothing.
Our last Super Spin 2 spin at $300: a bomb and 8X on reel 4, no symbol win, nothing paid. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
Results by part of the test, with the base game first:
- Base game, 100 spins at $1: $100.00 in, $77.80 back
- Free Spins buy at 100x: $100.00 in, $36.70 back
- Super Free Spins buy at 500x: $500.00 in, $60.80 back
- Super Spin 1, 10 spins at $10: $100.00 in, $102.80 back
- Super Spin 2, 10 spins at $300: $3,000.00 in, $736.00 back
In all we staked $3,800.00 and got $1,014.10 back. We never saw a Super Scatter or natural free spins, and the ante stayed off under our protocol. These are small samples, one round per buy and ten spins per mode, and they cannot measure a 96.55% RTP or the volatility.
Is Wonders of Aztec worth trying?
The multiplier row is easy to read and fun to watch. After the first 2x, bombs double rather than add, so two or three on one reel climb fast, and in free spins the row keeps every step for the whole round. Super Free Spins start with bombs already in place, and every option, from the ante to Super Spin 2, sits between 96.49% and 96.55% RTP.
The catch runs through every mode: a multiplier is worth nothing without a symbol win under it. In the base game the row empties after each spin, in free spins it only counts on spins with a bomb, and in Super Spin 2 even a 1,024x can land on a dead spin, as ours did. And with 8 of a kind needed, many spins have nothing to multiply.
The game's rules page and intro screen, and every source we checked, call it medium volatility.
Death Dominion, a 6x5 pay-anywhere tumble game we have tested with two Super Spins of its own, lands its multipliers as symbols and adds a Doom symbol that can wipe them. Gates of Olympus 2500 has the same catch as the bombs here (an orb on a spin with no win does nothing), but its orbs land anywhere instead of building on reels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play the Wonders of Aztec demo for free?+
Yes. This page runs Pragmatic Play's official Wonders of Aztec demo with play money and no sign-up. It opens at a $2.00 bet; five presses of the minus button took ours to $1.00. Both buys and both Super Spins work in the demo, and at a $1 bet the Special Bets panel shows the ante at $5.00, Super Spin 1 at $10.00 and Super Spin 2 at $300.00.
How do the bomb multipliers work in Wonders of Aztec?+
A gold sun bomb on a winning spin puts 2x above its reel or doubles what is there, up to 128x, and a Super Bomb does it for every reel. When the tumbles stop, the row is added up and multiplies the win. On spin 10, 4X plus 8X turned $2.75 into $33.00. Without a win, a bomb does nothing.
What does Super Spin 2 do in Wonders of Aztec?+
It costs 300x the bet and guarantees a bomb every spin. The first bomb starts at a random 2x to 1,024x, and later bombs can double values up to 1,024x, above the usual 128x cap. Free spins cannot trigger. Our ten spins at $300 returned $736.00, and a 1,024x landed on a spin with no win, paying nothing.
What is the difference between Free Spins and Super Free Spins in Wonders of Aztec?+
Both give 10, 20 or 30 spins for 4, 5 or 6 scatters, and the reel multipliers last all round. Super Free Spins, from a Super Scatter or the 500x buy, open with a random number of bombs already placed. Our $500 Super round started with seven and paid $60.80; the $100 standard round paid $36.70 over 15 spins.
What does the ante bet do in Wonders of Aztec?+
It raises the cost of a spin to 5x the bet for 16 times the free spins chance, at 96.51% RTP. That takes the bet range from $0.20 to $240 up to a $1,200 maximum with the ante on. We did not test it, as our protocol keeps ante bets off.
