Our verdict
Coin Quest 2 keeps the coin chain of the first game, five or more touching coins merging into one, and gives every spin more to do with five Power Up symbols and an Overcharge at 50 on the meter. Free Spins climb a multiplier and Super Free Spins also keep their coins. Fast Track sells two rounds, a 50% Gamble and two Power Up modes, all above the base RTP, but the base game pays little on its own.
Who it suits
Play this if…
- You like coins that snowball: clusters merge into one coin, and the Super Mask can collect them all
- You want cheap ways to see the features: Power Up spins cost 5x or 40x and guarantee Power Ups
- You want a high ceiling: wins run to 15,000x the bet
Skip this if…
- You want a base game that pays steadily: five purple skulls only return the bet
- You dislike all-or-nothing buys: the Gamble pays nothing half the time
- You want the Super round cheaply: it costs 500x, five times the Free Spins Bonus

Coin Quest 2: Full Review
Coin Quest 2 is Slotmill's December 2022 sequel to Coin Quest: a 6x6 avalanche cluster slot of skull masks in a jungle temple. Coins worth 1x to 500x still merge when five or more touch, and five Power Up symbols add Wilds, coins, meter charge or a coin collect. Its official volatility label is High, with a 96.18% RTP and a 15,000x cap. We tested the Coin Quest 2 demo over 100 spins at $1, both Power Up modes and all three buys.

What is the Coin Quest 2 slot about?
The grid sits inside a stone gateway in a sunlit jungle, with stepped pyramids behind it and the logo top right. A vertical collect meter runs up the right side, reading 0/25 at rest. Free Spins move to a dark gate wrapped in thorns, Super Free Spins to a golden temple hall, and in both a sun badge on the left shows the multiplier.
Eight symbols pay. Four skull masks in purple, red, green and blue are the premiums, and a purple gem, a red flower, a green spade and a blue lotus are the lows. At a $1 bet, five purple skulls pay $1 and 16 or more $75, while the lows pay $0.25 or $0.30 for five and $9 to $15 for 16 or more.
Clusters of 5 or more matching symbols joined horizontally or vertically pay, and the Avalanche clears them for new drops until no win is left. After each ordinary winning cluster a gold W Wild lands in a gap, as the rules confirm, though one review says the sequel dropped it. The Wild covers everything except the two Bonus symbols and can join several clusters at once.
Before our first spin at $1, from the $5,000 demo balance: a Super Bonus and a Bonus symbol above two Wilds, and the meter at 0/25. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
Coin Quest 2 bonus features
Coin Cluster
Coins carry 1x to 500x the bet. Five or more touching coins pay their total, explode and leave one new coin holding the sum in a gap, so a value can keep growing. Coin wins add no Wild, and a Wild that completes a coin cluster counts as 0x.
Collect Meter and Overcharge
Every exploded symbol adds a step. At 25 the meter places Coins and Wilds and drops back by 25; at 50 the Overcharge places more of both and drops back by 50. In the base game the meter empties after each round, while in the bonuses it carries on.
Power Up symbols
Five Power Up symbols can land in the base game and in the bonuses:
- Meter Charge: adds 5, 10 or 20 steps to the meter
- Wild Mask: adds Wilds to the grid
- Coin Mask: adds Coins to the grid
- Transform Mask: picks one symbol and turns every copy of it into another
- Super Mask: once no wins remain, adds coins, collects every coin value under an extra multiplier and pays it
The first four turn into Wilds when they are done, and the Super Mask becomes a coin worth what it collected.
Free Spins Bonus
Three Free Spins Bonus symbols award 8 free spins with a win multiplier on the meter. Each full meter places Coins and Wilds and raises the multiplier by 1, and neither resets before the round ends. A +1 Spin symbol adds a spin, and a Super Free Spins Bonus symbol upgrades the round to Super Free Spins with 4 more.
Super Free Spins Bonus
Two Free Spins Bonus symbols and one Super Free Spins Bonus symbol award 8 Super Free Spins. Everything from Free Spins applies, and coins that do not win also gather at the bottom of the grid for later clusters, so a climbing multiplier can meet a stack of kept coins.
Fast Track
Fast Track sells five options from the base game, each charged on every spin until you click the X on its icon. Two are bonus buys: the Free Spins Bonus at 100x the bet (96.49% RTP) and the Super Free Spins Bonus at 500x (96.92%).
The Gamble costs 140x (97.13%), and its round can land only blockers and Bonus symbols: a 20% chance of Super Free Spins, 30% of Free Spins and 50% of nothing. The two cheapest options guarantee Power Up symbols, not a bonus: 1+ Power Up at 5x (96.28%) and 2+ Power Up at 40x (96.38%).
Every option's RTP sits above the base game's 96.18%. There is no Xtra-Bet, and Burst Mode, a quicker autoplay that shows only round totals, went unused. Bets run from $0.20 to $50 over 22 levels.
Fast Track after our 100 base spins: the Gamble, both bonus buys and the two Power Up options, priced from the $1 bet. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.

Played on Slotmill's official demo in US dollars, from its $5,000 demo balance (100 times the $50 top bet), with every round checked against the game server's log. No bonus triggered in the 100 base spins. 1+ Power Up: 10 spins at $5, $50.00 in, $56.85 back, with one natural Free Spins Bonus of $18.55. 2+ Power Up: 10 spins at $40, $400.00 in, $493.40 back, a single 10-spin result with two natural Free Spins Bonuses; spin 6 paid $144.05 ($105.40 on the trigger spin), and without it the other nine returned $349.35. The three buys returned $244.30 for $740. The BIG WIN and SUPER MEGA WIN count-ups were not captured at their final frames, so the rounds rest on their result screens and settled balances. Totals from the spin log: $1,290.00 staked, $846.65 returned, in one session from $5,000.00 to $4,556.65. Samples this small cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.
Slotmill's official demo ran in US dollars from $5,000.00, 100 times the $50 top bet, with the $1 bet already selected, and we checked every round against the game server's log. The 100 base spins returned $52.10 from 36 wins, 23 of them under $1. The longest dry run lasted 7 spins, and no bonus came.
The best base spin, number 83, paid $11.00 for a coin cluster that left a single 11x coin on the board. Without it, the other 99 spins returned $41.10, topped by $5.25 on spin 68.
Base spin 83 of 100 at $1, settled: $11.00, with the 11x coin left by the cluster. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
Ten 1+ Power Up spins at $5 came next, and eight paid. The sixth landed three Bonus symbols for a natural Free Spins Bonus: 8 spins, the multiplier up to x2, $18.55. The ten returned $56.85 for $50, or $38.30 without the bonus spin.
Ten 2+ Power Up spins at $40 all paid, and two set off the Free Spins Bonus. On spin 6 the trigger spin alone paid $105.40 and left a 105x coin; the free spins, ending at x3 with the counter on 9/9, took the round to $144.05, a single result. Spin 7 triggered again for $49.80. The ten returned $493.40 for $400, or $349.35 for $360 without spin 6.
2+ Power Up spin 6, $40 at a $1 bet, settled: $144.05, with the 105x coin and three Bonus symbols on the board. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
We then bought each round once. The $100 Free Spins Bonus ran 8 spins, three full meters took the multiplier from x1 to x4, and it closed at $100.70, 70 cents above its price.
The $500 Super Free Spins Bonus kept its coins along the bottom of the grid but only reached x2, and closed at $143.60.
Our $500 Super Free Spins Bonus at $1: You won $143.60, with the multiplier at x2 and coins up to 49x on the grid. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
The $140 Gamble landed two Bonus symbols among the blockers, one short of free spins, and paid nothing, a single result.
Our $140 Gamble at $1: a grid of blockers with two Bonus symbols, one short of the Free Spins Bonus. FluxPlays demo test, 16 October 2026.
The session in six lines:
- Base game, 100 spins at $1: $100.00 in, $52.10 back
- 1+ Power Up, 10 spins at $5: $50.00 in, $56.85 back
- 2+ Power Up, 10 spins at $40: $400.00 in, $493.40 back
- Free Spins Bonus buy at 100x: $100.00 in, $100.70 back
- Super Free Spins Bonus buy at 500x: $500.00 in, $143.60 back
- Gamble at 140x: $140.00 in, $0.00 back
Across the session the balance fell from $5,000.00 to $4,556.65: $1,290.00 staked and $846.65 returned, by the server log. The intro and rules showed 96.18%. We never saw a base-game bonus, an upgrade to Super Free Spins or a Gamble win, and samples this small cannot measure the RTP or the volatility.
Is Coin Quest 2 worth trying?
The coin chain is still the core, and the Power Ups give every spin more to do: masks that add Wilds or coins, charge the meter, reshape the grid or collect every coin at once, with an Overcharge at 50 on top of the usual fill.
Fast Track is wider than in the first game. The Power Up modes are the unusual part, since they buy symbols rather than a round, yet three Free Spins Bonuses came from our 20 mode spins. The Gamble has the best RTP at 97.13%, but half its rounds pay nothing.
The base game is the thin side: five purple skulls only return the bet, and the meter starts from zero each spin. The Super round costs 500x, five times the Free Spins Bonus, for the same 8 spins plus kept coins. Slotmill's page rates the volatility High; the game shows no label.
Against Coin Quest, the sequel grows the grid from 5x5 to 6x6, the cap from 10,000x to 15,000x and the RTP from 96.12% to 96.18%, by both games' rules. The standalone Coin Quest Bonus is gone, and the Super round now starts from a Super Free Spins Bonus symbol and two Bonus symbols. Power Ups, the Overcharge and the Gamble are new, and Fast Track grows from three buys to five options.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play the Coin Quest 2 demo for free?+
Yes, with play money and no account: this page runs Slotmill's own Coin Quest 2 demo. Ours opened at $5,000.00, 100 times the $50 top bet, with the $1 bet set. All five Fast Track options work, from $5 to $500, and each stays armed, its price on the spin button, until you click its X.
How is Coin Quest 2 different from Coin Quest?+
By both games' rules the grid grows from 5x5 to 6x6, the cap from 10,000x to 15,000x and the RTP from 96.12% to 96.18%. The sequel drops the standalone Coin Quest Bonus, adds five Power Up symbols, an Overcharge at 50 on the meter and a Gamble, and sells five Fast Track options instead of three. The merging coins of 1x to 500x stay.
What do the Power Up symbols do in Coin Quest 2?+
Meter Charge adds 5, 10 or 20 steps to the collect meter, the Wild Mask adds Wilds, the Coin Mask adds coins and the Transform Mask turns every copy of one symbol into another; each then becomes a Wild. The Super Mask waits until no wins remain, then adds coins, collects every coin value under an extra multiplier and pays it.
How does the Gamble work in Coin Quest 2?+
It costs 140x the bet, at 97.13% RTP, and plays one round in which only blockers and Bonus symbols can land: a 20% chance of Super Free Spins, 30% of the Free Spins Bonus and 50% of nothing. Ours showed two Bonus symbols, one short of the three the Free Spins Bonus needs, so it paid nothing.
Do the Power Up modes trigger the bonus in Coin Quest 2?+
They do not guarantee it: 1+ Power Up (5x the bet) and 2+ Power Up (40x) only promise that many Power Up symbols on each spin. Bonus symbols can still land, though. In our 10 spins of each, the Free Spins Bonus came once from 1+ Power Up, for $18.55, and twice from 2+ Power Up, for $144.05 and $49.80.
